***Unfounded speculation***(but heck with the way the videos have always been filmed, everything is unfounded)

Jessica is a noob getting sucked into this, but I don't think she is some random girl. Maybe she is Jessica Kralie, his sister or something.

Since we don't know what happened to Alex after the Operator came to his place, he has gone missing and she is out looking for him.

Could Explain:

1) Where she heard his name before
2) Why she is in the area
3) Why she has been there for awhile
4) Why she was on the phone (updating the rest of the family to her progress)

 		I think we can assume that whatever happened to Tim is happening to Jessica, just because Jay says straight up that his camera acts oddly around her.

And I'm just thinking out loud here, but

Tim caused mild distortion on camera, but Masky caused severe distortion. Since we've already pretty much determined that Tim is Masky, it makes me think that either the mask of the pills amplify the distortion.

 		Kinda Offtopic, but..
Thought of a (perhaps bad) idea while speculating with a friend.

What if the masks don't cover up a face, but the lack of a face?

Have we seen Tim - chronologically - after we saw Masky?

Friend: "Slendy takes people away and then puts these masks on them, controls them with them, and in process of using people with masks as minions, he's also making heirs to his throne... Slendy isn't immortal, he's just making more of himself."

What do you guys think?

I don't really like the idea that Slendy was once a human. I like to think of him as a paranormal entity who tries to make himself look like a human, thus making it easier to attract victims.

Or perhaps that the "condition" progresses? And as it gets worse so does the distortion.

Slendy is the original, the alpha, if you will.

You can usually see human eyes through the masks, so I think Masky still has a face. You can see them by adjusting the contrast on the "masky countdown" Twitter picture, and in the "Warning" video.

The masks seem to have some sort of purpose via Slender Man, as Jay's face had a pseudo-mask painted onto it in "Return".

I know I'm continuing the off-topic, but I want to reiterate this and say that that behaviour is incredibly, incredibly offensive to the female forum members. This has been said before and the fact that it keeps being said seems like users keep bring it up for the sole purpose of irritating others and having fun; AKA, trolling.


That being said, on topic, I think the banging and the distortion that goes along with the banging is us witnessing slendersickness/distortionsickness from the outside again. Think along the lines of if someone was walking outside Jay's room when Masky broke in. Masky moves around and does stuff and causes distortion to the camera, and it's all affecting the camera, but the distortion is the result of something happening in the real world; and the banging that Jay hears is the something that's happening.

 		Now that we've seen her this much, shes become of serious interest and possible importance to the overall plot AND Jay is about to confront her: She's going to die. Soon.

Edit: Also, I am a female member and am only slightly bothered by sexual innuendo, and have noticed that its been done way more for MALE characters in the series. Mostly because I have a thick skin and have been on the internet long enough to know most people mean nothing serious by it. Equal rights means equal ribbings. Stating ones supreme offence over tiny things does nothing more than bring a big bucket of downer into every forum.

If we're under the assumption Tim was Masky (I am) and that he had Slendysickness (I can't imagine anybody would deny that) then her experiencing these symptoms and then causing distortions kind of follows that pattern. Tim didn't always cause distortion on the tapes. That only happened (from what I remember) in that one video where we see him taking the pills and coughing a crap ton in the hallway.

which seems completely plausible to me. If it wasn't supposed to be posted, maybe it's drawing the ire of Slendy / TTA / Masky / Somebody who is infecting Jessica with the Slendysickness. Or it could be something else entirely, I'm sure, but this definitely seems like it's a direction we're being taken in (why else would be go back to visit? It's like visiting the Red Tower. He wouldn't have done it if not for the significance of the place, even if it seemed, at first, like a huge, glaring red herring).

I don't feel like it's very likely he'll find a tape there, and most likely won't even find any blood, but will hopefully find himself a Masky (or another Slendy sighting? *crosses fingers*) to push him further along down the rabbit hole. He's already in, might as well go the distance, right?

Also, OT, I agree Arison and Dray. Though not a female myself, the whole 'Slendy/Masky X Jessica' thing is kind of... well, irritating at the least. I get that it's all supposed to be in good fun/jest/joking (I'm noticing now that the same thing happens for the male characters), but if there are people who are making a conscious effort to let you know that you're offending them, it's kind of a strong sign that maybe you should cut it out. I'll admit, I too chuckled at the concept at first just because of the utter absurdity of it, but it definitely feels troll-y now (*trollish? troll-like?).

I know I'm a NEWB and all, and maybe am not entrenched enough to be making these points, so forgive me if my soapbox is also doubling as a high horse. Just seeing TheMorrigan's comments as well, I realize that in the quest for being equals, that also means being equally open to being made fun of / teased / ribbed. That said, from previous web forum experience, making all parties feel like they are on equal ground and not objectified or slighted or made uncomfortable is important. If people are offended by these comments, we shouldn't just shrug it off as people being too uptight, but take it seriously.[/soapbox]

I apologize for going on this point BUT.

Offensive? How so? I'm sorry there has been many masky x jay masky x Slendy Jay x Alex theories/jokes in the past, and why suddenly them involving a female character makes the offensive?

Everytime a masky x slendy joke was made should I as a male be offended?

It's not offensive, and if this character instead of being female was male, you can bet that the jokes would remain the same becuase of the whole banging on the wall thing lends itself to that.

Equality means EQUAL. And if you fell offended then by all means, you are in the liberty of doing so, but the theories/jokes in question are not offensive, you are just easily offended. I understand it can get annoying, and where are you coming from, but it's not any more annoying than the 20 dollars meme or anything allong those lines.
