The footage is from a forested trail. He is probably going to check out the local parks.

First off, I find it weird that Jessica would loiter in front of her apartment talking on the phone. It would make much more sense to either do so in her room, or walking to the parking lot. Then again, this supposition is based off of my own tendencies. A quick analysis of her conversation should give more insight as to whether she was waiting for Jay or just decided to make a call in front of her room.

Next up, while Jessica does seem to be the cause of the audio distortion, did anyone else noticed that it persisted even after she was out of sight? This makes me think she might have been the cause of the slight audio distortion in Entry #28.

There was also a brief visual distortion at 3:06. I'm mentioning this again because it is a distortion we have not come across yet.

Is this 100% confirmed though? Jay takes up the habit of filming himself 24/7 to, and it seems more along the lines of countering memory loss / knowing if someone has been climbing in his window and snatchin him up. I always interpreted as Alex needed proof/assurance that what was happening was actually happening. Slendy does seem to gingerly step around on camera, but if it really weakened him, why would he choose to go after film students?

 		I doubt he did, (choose them that is) I'd say it's more like they stumbled over Slendy accidentally first. It's argued the first (chronological) sight of him was when they were doing the location scouting in the park and Alex walks over to him to ask him to leave the shot. Perhaps he went after them because they were a threat, like the stories about how he kills eveyone who investigates or sees him. It's like he waits for them to choose him first, but has possibly only been stopped because they're constantly filming. Slendy was probably 'called' when Alex's gf found the camera with the tape of the distortion on it. Alex immediately snatched the camera and trained it on Slendy and told her to back off into the street. He knew what he was doing...

 		A few random thoughts here:

I think that if Jessica were in the exact same position as Jay, then we would have seen some evidence of her filming herself. Question

I'm beginning to think that every character in MH is a masky during some periods of blackout. Confused

There's a mask in Jay's safe and he easily knows the combination during blackout. Idea

I'm totally with you on the way Jessica was stood outside her room, too. She seems to cross paths with Jay very frequently. I really don't think it's an accident.

Yeah, I figured that it would have been smarter for him to have left the camera on the tripod and just picked up the audio of their conversation.

Of course, the fact that he didn't makes me thing we were meant to see something in her room.
