I can't believe no one has thought to suggest that maybe Jessica just thinks Jay is cute and is trying to flirt with him. Doesn't have to be Slendy-related at all.

I'm pretty much convinced she's a fellow victim, and I really don't think there's anything malevolent going on. Jay's been alone in this whole ordeal long enough; seems about the right time for them to bring in a compatriot for him to go exploring the dark scary places with. Might as well be a cute girl, right?

There's a large difference between objectifying males and objectifying females. It has a lot to do with power; while males can shrug off objectifying comments towards them, it is much more different for females to do. It's similar to how a racist joke against whites is simply shrugged off, but a racist joke against blacks is a much bigger deal because they're still fighting to be equal to whites in many areas.

It's for this reason that when someone posts a video (or something) of a talented girl online, most of the jokes will be demeaning sexual jokes, and the minority will be about the actual talent. It's stuff like that that makes women feel hesitant to even admit their gender online.

To girls who have a thick skin: good for you. But you shouldn't try to make the girls who feel offended feel ashamed about it. If they're getting disturbed by it, just cut the shit, alright? It's not that hard to figure out.

On an off-topic note, I'd like to apologize for the part I played earlier on in the thread in objectifying Jess. I feel bad because generally I don't get involved in that kind of thing. I know that it's different between the two sexes with those kinds of jokes. sje46 has it right, as dudes we don't really understand these things, and we have to admit it. Just like in a lot of cases, if someone else says stop, understand that you are doing something that's stepping on someone else's feelings and step down.
