just wanted to say good job ccl - even if you're leads are wrong (what you've leaked leads me to believe that you are on the right path), you've made this board interesting to visit once again. thanks for that and good luck.

Ham Sandwich

I am 100% certain that they're (most of the crew) headed to Coney Island at the end of ep3. All that info that seems random in ep5 is actually very useful. When interpreted correctly it's very specific.

Here's an example:

CROTHERS. STOLEN 15 WPPPT CHAMPIONSHIP BRACELETS.
Crothers: Hey, nice hat! Where's your legs?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

He's on W15 between Neptune and Mermaid (Coney Island).

I have the paths for Tom, the parrot, and The Captain done. Working on finishing Crothers now. The clues for Mulligan are so subtle that I can only find bits and pieces of his path. I may skip the rest of Mulligan's for now and go to the next episode.

Going by how you are getting clues I got to thinking that Mulligan has a lucky sandwich. The cards he holds are Ace and Holy Mackerel. A H M.. HAM? Ham sandwich? Lucky could mean 7. So maybe a path or road with 7 ______ham in the title of the road or street? What do you think? It also says Mulligan was in last place (I forget how many times) it said in the WPPPT. That could mean something too.

Hi all I am new here. I have been reading CCL's post. I don't know if you are on the right track or not, but it has been fun reading your thinking process. If this is as detail as your posts have been I have a cannonballs chance in a floating contest.

CCL,

You said you are doing the videos in order, did you switch ep 4 and ep 5?
There be me's 2 gold coins.

The forums figured out long ago that the order of the videos should be:

1,2,3,5,6,4,7,8

based on the damage to Crothers.

Here's my big contribution for episode 4. The numbered clues that Tom gives, those clues appear in the wrong places in the videos. You have to move them elsewhere. I'm not sure what the exact conversion process is, but I've figured out where some of them go. Ep4 becomes ep6, so that is suppose to be a hint. Maybe it has something to do with Roman numerals (IV -> VI), but I can't come up with anything that makes sense. I don't think it's as simple as change the 4's to 6's.

Thanks! I hope the activity picks up on these boards. It was getting way too quiet here. I'm going to keep leaking the clues that I've figured out. I'm just spacing them out a bit to give myself a little bit of time to process the ones that I've missed.

I took that hint to be SAND. Mul is near the beach. He is with the Capt (they're holding hands at the table).

Remember Mul was in last place 5 years in a row.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
He's at the end w 5th st.

comic book

I know people were able to mail in an order form in the comic and get stuff, although I remember reading that people stopped getting stuff. Does anyone know if they were able to get a copy of the comic itself? I'm trying to see some of the obscured text. I'm curious about that scene with Mulligan in the bar.

just curious

What is the consensus? Do most of you think we are just looking for the treasure, or are we searching for a Da Vinci Code-esque cryptex that will lead us to the chest?

From the last few pages of this thread it is obvious what I think. You have to trace their path for the code of codes, not for the final destination. IMO, if you're just trying to take clues from all the episodes and match it to a single location, you are not even close.

I have a path following the clues in order that makes a picture/outline of something very relevant to the videos but I have no idea what to do with it Sad

ep6 = Cipher City

I've been studying ep6 for a couple of days now. I believe that there are multiple ciphers hidden in the comic. I know there are at least two different ones. I've discovered the keys for those, but I haven't had much luck in deciphering them. Is anyone else thinking along these lines? I would like to start a separate thread to work on this if anyone else is interested (there's no point in me just talking to myself).

Yes, I am up for a new thread. I'm new to these forums, but I have many theories about the clues. I think we might want to start a new thread for each episode and focus on specific clues and ideas put forward in each one. Anyway, episode is a good one to start with.

Glove n boots

Don't know if anyone noticed or if it is even relevent, but at about 5:02 in the video of glove n boots found at their .com and by clicking on the TV, we actually see the Pupetteer's hand. Probably means nothing, just sayin'....
