This may have been brought up, I'm only 200 pages in, but regarding the morse code videos. The ones that spell SOA. I read a bit where somebody mentioned that the preview for the video or some such called the last video "K" for a time. So it was questioned if they spelled SOA or SOK. Well what if they both apply? What if they spell out SOAK, a water reference? Once again, if this has come up, never mind me.

how unique. you reposted your observations an hour apart. O.o

at any rate, we never did come to a consensus on those morse code videos. the next one was "h," so there goes the "soak" theory. myself, i imagine they're either an acronym or a word scramble and we'll see at least a few more morse-y things around in the coming days/weeks/months.

Have they- the HYBRID crew, seen the morse videos? I know they referenced watching them with Damsel (who can presumably see them), but did they ever do it?

@psinguine, I'd hold off posting theories until you read everything, just because chances are we've already discussed it.

I work with the mentally challenged in a group home setting. One of my guys has a movement disorder that causes him to be very bent and erratic. We also recently had an issue with him losing a pile of weight, and he hates the sun. In the daylight, getting out of the shower, the guy looks vaguely humanoid in shape, with elongated limbs and (because I'm the only person that does it and I don't get to often) long yellowish fingernails. Because of his bent and angular way of moving his breathing is loud, raspy, and sharp.

You can probably guess where this is going.

So last night I'm power reading this thread in the dark, working the overnight shift but to wired to sleep. I'm thinking its late, I'll steal one last look at "cops checked, no body". I give it a once over, shake my head at the rake, and turn off my computer. But the raspy breathing continues. I look up, irrational with fear, and see just the edge of a shoulder at the bottom of my office door. I pick up a chocolate off my desk and throw it at the door frame, but its a bad angle and I hit the frane itself.

Immediatley I see what I would SWEAR was a rake scuttle past my door, slamming it shut as it went by. What I get for doing everything by the light of my blackberry. I jump more or less out of my skin, took me forever to go out in the hallway. Checked out his room, he was in bed passed out.

SO WHO WAS RAKE?!

Seriously though, brix were shat.

O.O

It's probably some sort of alien but good god if that didn't freak me out. The head tilt and everything...*shiver*
If it IS Slenderman though...that's gonna be awesome/terrifying.

Do you have anything on-topic to discuss instead?

Too short to be Slendy, and it might have a face... I feel like there's a hint of eyes there. A faceless monster doesn't always equal Slendy. A lack of a face is something that humans find very unsettling in general; we see faces in everything, so something that should have a face that doesn't tends to land smack in the uncanny valley and freaks us right out. Thus a faceless human makes for a good monster, but it's not necessarily Slenderman.

That being said, I for one would kind of love to read a Who/Slenders crossover fic, and I am now all kinds of intrigued for the next season of Who to start. Mostly because of Matt Smith's obsession with hats. And Rory. I love Rory.

Regardless of whether or not HE or ANY OF US have something on-topic to discuss, this isn't the Slenderman Off Topic board, this is the EverymanHYBRID discussion thread

These are not EMH discussions, they do not belong here

My apologies, Oh Shirtless One - just trying to make conversation ^^

Back on-topic: Anyone have any idea what sort of challenges would require us to have a leader? I mean, HABIT wouldn't make us elect one if he had no purpose in the upcoming trials. It's driving me (more) crazy, trying to figure out what sort of tasks require a leader to guide us.

Maybe its a test of sorts -- leading is about holding the team together, no matter what. Maybe the upcoming trials will cause strife and confusion and the leaders are tested as to their ability to keep everyone united.

I'm not sure if the whole leader thing will carry on past this trial. After all, one team will be deprived of one, and another's leader will be kind of a leader for everyone, not just their team. If having a leader will have an effect on future trials, then a big aspect of this specific trial is to put one of the teams at a serious disadvantage. It's possible that the leaders themselves won't matter, but the results of this trial will rank the teams in a way. Perhaps the team with the front-runner will have first dibs, or some sort of advantage, whereas the leaderless team will be deprived of something useful. We shall have to wait and see...
