Welp, as a Beastie boy, you have just earned my respect a lot more. I was more under the assumption that you were a complete Halo fanboy type, desperately trying to connect every single ILB event into the Haloverse.

this one should be a most interesting can of worms. Welcome, and the fun begins...soon....

The Beast gave me nightmares.

Is your nickname based off of any of The Beast puzzles?

About the Halo fanboy thing: I think I'm becoming the first Halo fanboy who doesn't play Halo.

Hi!

Yet another newbie on the board... Smile So this is the first occasion I post here, and I am totally new to ARGs too. I guess this is the time to say hello to everyone! So: HELLO EVERYONE!

So I solved a few puzzles in syzygy by myself (e.g. the one in the syzygy index's source, and I've found the link to Pattern Recognition - well, but only after reading the unforum tutorial, but I'm proud of myself... Very Happy ), and I'd like to know where the game is at the moment. OK, shame on me, I should've read the whole thread but it was too much... Also, I have never played ARGs before, but I hope I can help... If there's one good idea I can share with you in solving the puzzle, I'm satisfied.

kelsey

fyzle: Nope. I missed th Beast entirely, was sifting through the remains wishing to join one. Got pretty hyped up for Syzygy, swore to play this one through, even though I made an absolutely miserable showing for the Anniversary puzzle.

My nickname is based on a dream of mine. As a sideline, I design haunted houses, and its based on mine which I am building right now called Nightmare Park. You can take a gander at www.nightmarepark.com for more info, which isnt much at this time...

Here I am...ready or (more likely) not

Well I think I'm up to date! Just read through this thread - and I guess I just have to wait now for my e-mail!

Thanks to BriEnigma for your invaluable guide.

PS. FWIW I looked at the image in the lower corner of the Flash & HTML pages from the PS site, and it looks to me to be an outdoors picture, not a corridor or anything like that. Maybe a back alley or something?

Sounds like fun. I'm ordering the Code Book at the end of the week. I'm kinda disappointed that I found out about ILB so late, glad I didn't miss the start of this one.

Hi all. Just popping in to say hello. Looking forward to 2005 as long as I can hide much of the nerdness from my girlfriend (who has banned me from visiting the London Axon).

There was the question about the P font. As someone said 2 pages ago it is indeed Edwardian Script. I got this from using the http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ site.

[INTRO] Hey, I'm New!

hey! I'm new to the ARG scene, but I've already signed up for a bunch of good looking ones and I'm WICKED excited to get started. I joined a lot of the ARG Forums (like this) also. If someone could kind of help me get started that would be great. My e-mail is FatalDisaster at gmail.com and my AIM is MajorJavdawg. Thanks, hope to see all of you around!

Can you all remember the link to the image of the universe, and the wormhole to Alpha Centuri that was sent via irc ages ago?
(the file at the bottom of the post)

Did anyone ever find anything about that? Maybe woth Steggdetect? Maybe this is the mini-game #2 that was mentioned?

I was looking at the S on page 2 a few days ago, and i thought maybe it was a sort-of unfinished 8? In science, this is used (on it's side) to represent eternity - something that never ends. Its kinda mixed in alot with space, and time and things, so i thought that has something to do with the image? And wasent it said that Syzygy could mean 'celestial bodies'?

a couple of other things...

hi all, i'm another newbie to ARGs but totally immersed from what i've seen so far. also being in london i'm hoping i'll be in the thick of the action when this gets going!

i noticed a couple of things on projectsyzygy.com, dunno if anyone's noticed / solved them yet:

1) on the first page of the popup the fibonacci sequence after the da vinci code is missing the number "2" (should be 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21 not 1,1,3,5,8,13,21)

2) the title of the homepage is ".:::" which could be more braille, although there are several possible translations: http://www.afb.org/braillebug/braille_print.asp

The 8 on it's side is infinity, yes. However, there's also the "proportionate" to symbol, which is the 8 minus half it's head on it's side. In fact, there's a lot of symbols related to S. A small s in Science represents "seconds." A large S... shit, I've forgotten. Very Happy But it's a long shot. Smile
