My favorite color is orange. I did see the standard xbox controllers over at a local gamestop, I'm tempted to buy one, but orange would have been way better. I'm not going to pay extra to an eBay profiteer to get one though. Changing the color via a hardware mod would be cool, except if the LEDs are SMT, then it gets extremely difficult.

The bad thing about "limited edition" controllers is if you really use them, they're going to wear out. So most likely, 95% of them aren't going to actually be used to play games, which pretty much seems like a waste.

The real bummer is that PDP is not always known for quality workmanship. I'd still buy a blue one and try to convert it.

Yeah..... seems even the "normal" blue ones on eBay are going double to what I can just walk into my local Gamestop and buy one for 40 bucks... 80 to 150 for a Blue one is nuts.
I have an order into Digikey for the new LED's. I plan on one in the orange/yellow and one in red.
Once I get the parts I will update with LOTS of pics of what I did.......
