Sure it's a creepy pasta, but it's pushing my ARG buttons something fierce.

Thoughts?

I noticed a thread was started over in our Video Games section called Majora -- I'm not into creepy stuff, so I'm not even going to compare the contents for you. (And if it's not a video game, perhaps the thread needs to be moved?)

Current info says the twitter account is a game jack.

Interesting read, definite ARG qualities.

I'd love to see an ARG start from a creepy pasta like this ^_^

FWIW- Google Translate says "domine dirige nos" is French- "dominates our heads."

Better translations are welcome.

Meta: I'm wondering why I got this email, as I've not really been active in the ARG community in a while? Assuming it's someone I know, or someone thinks they've got an idea of my ARGing interests. I may lurk.

Just got this. Looks pretty spamish to me but it also seems somewhat ARGish. Also since I have been having some trouble with my firewall lately I am a bit nervous about going to the site in case it is some sort of trtojan or virus site.

Hey there, sorry if I'm bothering you but I was just wondering if you're a music fan?

Yes?

Great!

Well I'm sure you might be interested in checking out my music review site http://ptsmusic.blogspot.com/

At this time I've only got two entries kindly donated by a friend of mine, but if I get enough positive feedback I'm hoping this will grow and grow! And hopefully at some point soon I'll be able to add a few of my own tracks and tips on home music production.

Hope to see you there!

- The Sound Guy

Edit to add: Nevermind, it is aparently part of the Hollow Men that just started.

Got this yesterday, it is definitely not spam. Should I create a new thread?

So far I found out that:

1) The cirillic characters are in Serbian according to google translate and translate to "Abel, one son"
2) The EXIF data of the JPEG says the picture was taken May 3, 1916.
3) There is a comment in the EXIF which says "find us we are lost we do not believe"
4) The integer sequence is Fibonacci sequence beginning 0 8
5) "Mad as a March Hare" entry in wikipedia says: To be as "mad as a March hare" is an English idiomatic phrase derived from the observed antics, said to occur (incorrectly)[1] only in the March breeding season of the Hare, genus Lepus. The phrase is an allusion that can be used to refer to any other animal or human who behaves in the excitable and unpredictable manner of a "March Hare". One application of fibonacci sequence is to predict the growth of a population of rabbits based on idealized assumptions, so I wonder if this is the relation between the picture and the sequence.

I already replied but got no response yet.

Too many things going on to be a random spam email. Go ahead and create a new thread or I can do it for you.

Thanks for you input ndemeter. Let me share a few updates with you:

-A close friend which is also registered on Unfiction (VictorSueiro) received the same email. We both played Find the Lost Ring two years ago, but other than that, we are not active ARG players.

-A TinEye search shows that the picture is not original art: http://www.tineye.com/search/c2ca6e5f64e3527cd4dcda9593105478222c7111/

-We both replied to the email but got no answer yet.

Do you still think this needs a new thread? The picture not being original art completely changed the picture for me... this could even be a common friend bugging us... maybe we could wait 'till there is any further activity... what do you think?

I've created a new thread. Please move/copy your reply there.

I got an email from Patria Rickie from the address patriarickiewxsplatatspace.com. The subject of the email was 2xp3 and the body only said 29.

Any ideas?

atspace is a free hosting site, but unless there's more than just '29', seems like spam.

Hi there,
I`m writing actually about one cool German ARG, and I`ve got recently an anonymous comment on my blog. I doubt about its relation to that German ARG, so I`m writing about here, because this was just my latest posting, so perhaps somebody used it as trail?

Do you have any idea about it?

Here is comment:

To search for ID3 does explode google with millions of results. Hmm, which one is the right one?

ID3 is the name of MP3 meta tags (title, artist, album, etc)... are there mp3's in the ARG you mention in your blog? Could it be a hint for that?
