Episode 6 Analysis Episode 6 is fairly difficult to analyze. I've made some solid connections, but I don't see a coherent stream of clues like I did in previous episodes. I think the best thing to do is examine the comic one page at a time and see what we come up with. I've started rebuilding some of the pages/panels from the comic by taking different shots from the video and piecing them together in photoshop.
Here's the cover:
There is an obvious connection between this comic and most team-up style Marvel Comics. For instance:
Notice the hero head box in the upper left hand corner. Having read through some of those comics, I don't see anything linking the cover to a specific comic book.
Black Tom looks like he is an position to deal a Karate Kid style crane-kick:
Mulligan is holding a hamburger. Knowing that there is a Segar tombstone later, this seems to be a Whimpy reference.
Notice the buttons on The Captain and Crothers. These change in each panel. Here it almost looks like Morse Code, but it's unclear how you would read it.

You are amazing CCL!!!
Crane stance is used more for balance according to most of the sites I looked at.
Crane - Bird/construction equipment to lift things heavy things.
Cranes - construction can also be used to lift boats off of piers.
There is a lot of references to Mulligan and his favorite foods. From jelly beans, sandwiches, now hamburgers and soda. Mulligan is a giant child. He is the boy who never grew up.
Is there a Popeye's hamburger place anywhere near the area you are at?

I have two corrections for the transcript (http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=733215&search_id=1112389858#733215). I believe the the Tutty card stats are suppose to be 12, not 18. I also believe that the bold words on the bottom should be CAPS LOCK and not CAPS SOCK.

I looked for them, but I don't think there are many in NYC area. There are some Popeye's Chicken places.

In panel 1, Crothers is drawn to look like Wolverine without the claws. Wolverine's slogan was "I'm the best at what I do." The text says Crothers is not the best at what he does, but what he does... I likes it.
I haven't been able to make much out of the second panel except that Black Tom seems to be pointing to the left.
In panel 3, it looks like a giant spider is crawling out of a hole. It's holding a sword. I'm not sure if this is a reference to Spider-Man or Spider-Woman (in S.W.O.R.D.) or maybe even that spider thing in LOTR. It's also interesting that the flame just in front of the spider has a lower-case omega and a wishbone looking symbol. This might be the artist's signature.

Wow thanks for making the images because I can't do it on my machine and picking these up are really hard to do.
We'll question is what does Crothers like to do? He is not to bright! He is a pirate. He likes to drinks a lot. He gets drunk. He looses limbs and body parts. He goes to the bathroom a lot. He does what ever the captain tells him to. The Captain can't give him anything to do because he is not competent. We're looking for a drunk with missing body parts? Are we looking for a drunk frat boy with missing body parts? LOL! A doll or puppet with missing body parts.
Is Tom pointing to Crothers? The Captain? The page before? Over his head? What is over his head or the Captain's head? Or are his clues to the panel, page or to the last video?
Why is the Captain's pants missing again? What does that mean? What is the deal with him, he can't keep his pants on??? Oh, and he looks like he has two right arms & hands.
I can't make out the words on this one? I could make out 'Ain't Nothing ???? Us From ???? Lost Gold ????'.
It looks the spider is crawling out of volcano. He has 5 legs that we could see? One looks like a crutch. So what could spider/volcano/sword mean? The word BUT is beneath that.
What do spiders represent? They have 8 legs/scary/weave webs?
By the way what is LOTR?
I used a magnifying glass so I could see this because otherwise, I just can't make these out.

I really get this feeling we are looking for a place where children or college age kids play. The personalities of these puppets do fit that of children or people in their late teens or early 20s.

The Captain Has 2 Eyes?? Another thing about this page: How come the Captain now has 2 eyes?
Eyes are a HUGE thing in this puzzle. Tom has no eyes. Crother's, Captain, Crother's bird have one eye. Only Mulligan has 2 functioning eyes.

Sword/Volcano/Spider Besides Spider Woman here are some others I found on Google:
Spider/Sword & Sword/Spider
Sci -fi thing with blade like appendages hard to kill.
John Adams"There are 2 ways to conquer and enslave a nation. One is by the sword. The other is debt"
Added volcano and came up with a game Pocket God originally released by I-phone /I -pod.
I don't know about any of you but, I found an awful lot of references in these videos to APPLE.

New York City race courses were dubbed the 'Big Apple' by a horse hand who was working in another state back at the turn of 1900.
Then the Jazz musicians in the '30s & 40's dubbed Manhattan the 'Big Apple'.
Guiliani officially named Broadway and W54 the 'Big Apple'.

Dreams: Hard time covering self, people with big secrets, fear of being uncovered, vulnerability, shamefulness, hiding something, feeling defenseless, fear of being caught, identity problems, fear of being ridiculed.
Also an event is held every year for the past few years where passengers ride the subways with no pants on. Several meeting places with in the 5 are set up and then the groups gets on the trains and proceeds to take off their pants. Looks like the next one is coming up shortly. Sounds like fun.
