Marble Hornets Season 1 Compilation

Hello everyone.

I was thinking about downloading the Season 1 videos and putting them on a CD to share with my friends. Then I thought about putting everything "official" related to MH Season 1, and posting it online.

Here is the link to my compilation

This is the "light" version which includes YouTube links to MH videos, Jay's tweets, Jay's TwitPic posts and links of totheark videos.

The full version will also include the downloaded videos.

I also added some "notes" for each video; making sure new viewers won't miss anything. I used MH Wiki for reference. But I didn't include any speculations, maybe just some of my personal ideas. I'd appreciate if you check my notes, and correct if there is any mistake / misleading statement.

I'd like to credit the forum users who solved the totheark messages. But I don't know which user solved which.

For viewers who will watch MH for the first time, I think this will be a convenient way to get into the MH universe. I think also MH-veterans like you guys can use it to have a quick refenence: You can edit HTML tags to add your notes easily for each video.

Sorry for the file hosting. Any suggestions will be appreciated. The full version will be around 510 MB.

Well. I applaud you for uploading this so bloody early in the morning. Other than that, it looks pretty good. I've still got the TPB video runthrough one laying about somewhere. Looks pretty good though.

One thing I would suggest, for the final version at least, is when you do the video, make sure that you pick a file format that everyone can enjoy. That is to say, some <coughmicro> products like the Zune can't play anything but WMV and MP4 - consider that in many cases this won't end up on a CD. Though VLC is fantastic, plays unknown files on command and used by me for everything, not everyone will have access to a computer when showing off the series.

When do you think you'll have this done?

Include TTA videos in the order mixed in with the MH videos. And add notes that TTA is a seperate youtube account.

Dr. Leonard Mengele: You are right, a more common video format sure will be more helpful. Today I tried converting FLVs to MPEG2. But somehow the process dropped the last frames of TTA videos, and total size of the videos grew into 870~ MB. I'm still considering your suggestion, but I don't want to seperate videos with the HTML file; it is meant to guide the viewers into Season 1, with tweets, TwitPic posts, and others.

McWeird007: I just need to upload the videos on the web and it will be 'ready'. I'm done with the guide page but if you suggest adding something, it will be appreciated.

blahblah: TTA videos are in the order they should be. I.e. "Version" is listed just after Entry #20. About the note, I think I can add "Version: Reply to E#20" in the title. But Jay's tweets help about that enough I guess.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Also, will you be doing it with season 2 when it ends too?

You could always just create a "two disk set", and split it.

I have already downloaded every episode so far in MP4 format, then tagged them into seasons and have them in chronological order of release (so that totheark's responses appear when they should for a full, uninterrupted watch-through).

Would you guys want me to create a torrent? I'll seed it if you guys will too.

Edit: Or I could just put it in my Dropbox... haha.

I already made a compilation of all of them with the TTA vids mixed in with the yt vids including the credits. I also added a title at the beginning.

Will edit when I post it somewhere.

Heh. I'm doing the same thing, but DVD format, videos only, and no explanation whatsoever.

I like mysteries.
