EDIT: I also just noticed that the seller (who seems very clever in their wordplay in the auction if you know what you are looking for) claims that the poster is on cardstock. Well, would make sense if you were also using said cardstock to make up the autograph cards they are selling. Again, too many factors lead me to believe that these things are posters that the seller is making themselves. STAY AWAY! (Or at least wait until they are going for what they are worth, which is about $5-$10.)

I agree wholeheartedly. I only paid around $23 for this one, and it was back when it was one of the only ones listed--so I had full belief that it was indeed what the seller said, that is, a rare limited edition poster.

I thought it was fishy that the seller sold a few for $19.99 and now there's one going for $300+.

I figured I'd ask on here to see if there was any legitimate bearing from the Downtown Disney IMAX angle.

I want that Arcade machine scene pack SO BAD. Good to know at least it's been found. I would love more pictures of them, I really love those things! Like miniatures meets trading figures.

I made a T-Shirt on Zazzle inspired by my favorite line from the movie:

Only thing I'd say to those hunting for the Sam/Arcade action pack is, don't get TOO excited about it. It's really just a molded plastic piece that bears a slight resemblance to the original arcade cabinet. About what you'd expect for something that averages out to about $2.50. Honestly I would have personally hoped for some more accurate side panel art than what they did, but still... a nice effort and cool little item.

Did anyone remember what Sam's disc sold for? They auctioned it off months before the movie came out and I didn't see it.

Still awesome! If it bears ANY resemblance to a TRON arcade machine it's officially more than I'd ever had hoped to ever find at a Target. I don't get any of the complaints about the toyline. For mass market toys they're all pretty darn cool, and what TRON fan would be disappointed that they could march into any Wal Mart right now and pay a small price for an action figure of Jeff Bridges that says "Greetings Programs!"

All mass market toys aren't of 100% perfectness because so many are made for so cheap, but you have to look at their quality on the whole, and the fact they even exist.

Thanks, I wonder how the price has been affected because the movie is now out (that and the collectables market not really having a stellar year)? Very Happy

I'm still mad I missed out on the chance to buy the/a rocketeer pack from the movie back when disney was selling it's junk on ebay (it sold for like $400)

As I recall, the Rocket pack did not meet reserve and did not sell.

I went searching for these as soon as I saw them selling on ebay and found this on Olivia Wilde's site:

http://wildeaboutolivia.com/main/?p=1159

I am not sure if they are printed legitimately or not but they are Disney art.

you can download the digital version here edit: appears to be full size so they could have printed them on there own:

I have not found the Gem or Siren Sisters in larger format yet but I am sure they are out there.

New Daft Punk 12" statues. Very limited, very expensive. $230 a piece, making that almost $500 for the pair.

See, I used to subscribe to that "we're lucky to even have it" mentality. Anymore, though, there is just too much stuff out there for me to pick and choose from collecting-wise. But yeah, again, it is pretty cool and definitely a nice touch. Guess I'm just of the mind that if something is worth doing, it's worth doing right.

Also, don't know where you live, but around here we have about 8 Wal Mart's and only 3 of them ever stocked out any Tron merch. Spotty at best. I know you were just using it to support your argument, but it bugs me that the largest retailer in the US, who even got a store exclusive item from the line, couldn't make sure that all of their stores stocked the stuff. One could argue that it might have been the poor performance of the Spin Master Last Airbender line. But to counter that, I would offer up the How To Train Your Dragon line, which was also Spin Master, and sold like gangbusters at every Wal Mart in the nation.

Not statues. Just the Medicom figures that have been up for pre-order for a few months now. Very overpriced, but that's Medicom stuff for ya. At least these have masks on so as to hide the face sculpts their figures usually sport.

Our mailman finally delivered all the mail we had on hold while we were on vacation. Check out all the TRON goodness that I received today.
