Indeed, they are designer clothes and not something that is supposed to have mass purchaseing. I guess we can argue that they are going for a "Classier" version/market when it comes to merch. With all the really expensive stuff, I've noticed a trend, it's all very subtle. If you wear it (other than the belts and a few necklaces) it doesn't turn you into a walking bilboard for the movie but rather only reminds the wearer of the movie.

I think they failed slightly in all but the women's shoes and maybe the purse. I agree that with the more designer stuff it is trying to be a subtle connection and that's pretty cool, I like the idea that it could be something I could wear to a company Christmas party or to work, I just think it has gone too far from the source material. I've got Tron on the brain and I really didn't see Tron other than bright 80s colors.

It looks kind of like something from Project Runway, and not in a good way. And that makes me sad since I really want to like Tron inspired streetwear. :/

Heheh... they ARE. Doesn't mean they have to be selling assets off left and right. But it's enough that a lot of people are getting pretty nervous.

They missed an interesting opportunity here too though. There's a chance for an entirely new fashion style to be born from TRON, and the technology is now there to make it possible.

Agreed.

They could have done a line of futuristic club wear with that sound reactive lighting stuff you can get on shirts. I mean that stuff would sell out in a snap I bet, although it would have been better if they had put it out before Halloween, they'd have sold more.

Or really, a ready to wear line that has its roots in Tron but can be worn out in the adult world would have been my favorite. It'd be cool if it could light up to but I don't think we're quite there yet. The tech is totally there for accessories though! Bring on the light up acrylic jewelry Disney! Very Happy

Didn't they just buy Marvel for like a KABILLION DOLLARS? For a struggling company, they're still swinging a huge stick!

Time for that ENCOM/Stark Industries Merger!
