This may be one of the fastest moving of the ARG subforums. There's usually far too many pages to read the day after a video gets posted, and while I've rekindled my Slenderfervor I still look at 10+ pages and go "okay I'm skimming". We are a rabid bunch of fans aren't we?

Jay: "I'm-I'm Just curious. I mean, I just got here so I'm looking for a good area to look for an apartment or something."
Jessica: "Just got here?"
Jay: "Yeah, my job relocated me and now I'm just looking for a--"
Jessica: "No, you told me your house was being renovated." Jessica interrupts Jay

Jay: "No I didn't. Why would I say that?"
Jessica: "Yes you did." curtly again, interrupting jay again.
Jay: "No, I-- You must have misheard me, or something."
Jessica: "No I didn't." annoyed tone

Jay: "Nevermind, uhh I'm sorry. I'm obviously bothering you. I'm just going to go back to my room."

Jessica: "Hey."

Jessica: "Have you been feeling alright?"
Jay: "Yeah, why?"
Jessica: "Nothing's up?"
Jay: "I mean, I haven't been sleeping that well, but I never sleep when I'm in hotels."
Jessica: "You haven't been having any kind of, like, memory loss or anything, have you?"
Jay: "No."
Jessica: "Alright."

Notes, Analysis, & Speculation

It appears Jay started videotaping as soon as he got out of his car.

At 0:56 the sound is wind is probably being muffled by the trees.

At 1:15-1:20 Jay probably turned around to get a better look at the guy following him. This explains the slowed pace.

Is that humming noise traffic? Or a distortion?

The man's MP3 player is probably in the front pocket of his hoody

A slight buzzing can be heard from 2:44-2:59, however I do not think it is intentional so I did not mention it above

Jessica grew up in the area

The irritability, loss of memory, and coughing are similar to what Tim, Jay, and Alex have been through

I assume the music is coming from Jessica's room. That, or I am hearing things.

Okay, let's get some things straight:

1) Trailguy has some shapely legs, of course he's going to wear pants to show off his figure! Perhaps the hoodie was a bad fashion choice, but it was raining (you can see specks of rain on Trailguy's shoulder when Jay taps it,) so give him a break!

2) I don't think that Trailguy's inflection when he asks, 'can I help you?' is suspicious. Jay is kind of a scrawny guy, and Trailguy could probably take him in a fight. He's secure in himself enough to wear such a fantastic article of clothing, regardless of whether or not that's a knife in his pocket, that he probably simply doesn't see Jay as a threat.

The fact that he's standing around is odd; nobody should be that deaf with earbuds in, after all! But it could be that he was looking hard for a particular song. Note also that Trailguy isn't off the trail, himself -- you guys are probably right in that he's just circled back or come around one of the intricate paths when Jay spots him.

Regarding Jessica and all of the haters: pfft, you guys are so impatient!

I do really want to know how she is connected, and I wish that there were more advancements towards how they wound up together and how Jessica's connected at all to the events in Part I (And yeah, I really want to know what has happened to Alex and Tim-and/or-TTA and the rest. >:I) but... I'm fairly certain that we're going to find out sooner or later. In the meantime, it's great that she dropped a hint that she knows about the memory loss.

I suspect that somewhere in the next couple of entries, we're going to see some fessing up on Jay's part. We can hope for that, at least! It feels as though, with the way that the series is running, they're sort of leading us through as to what to expect from one entry to the next. It's always either that there's one possible lead, or that they drop a surprise with the Operator... so perhaps an entry with Jessica, Jay showing her the tunnel, her recognizing it and them both going?

The distortion from video to video feels a little arbitrary for me. I didn't hear any in the park at all, which seemed interesting, given that they had used it in the past many times when out in the woods!

And... lastly, they seem to be using a lot more false-scare moments. I don't know about those. I hope that they go for some kind of rule-of-three's where the next scare that we think is going to be a false one turns out to be true. That would really tie it together for me!

AARGH! My computer nearly exploded </hyperbole> just as we were all prepping for this one! Now it's all back to good, but I missed, like, EVERYTHING. Unhappy.

I'm with the myriads who say that Jess seems to know about slendersickness, on account of the hushed tones. And my need for her story to start tying in. Honestly, I've tried to be patient about it, but if they're throwing us this much, I'm packing in the patience game. She'd better become plot-relevant pronto!

As for Trailguy- He does indeed boast shapely legs. And that is neither here nor there. On a much more serious note- holy crap was that thrilling! I was a little let down, because as we might have all picked up, TheBioGuy wants to see masky more than almost anything in the world, and for a moment, I thought I had gotten my wish. I just want proof that my masked friend is still with us...

Now for really about trailguy and not masky- I think he's not a one-off. And why? because marble hornets has heretofore never used one-offs. Human interaction is next to Operator sightings in both rarity and significance.

So yeah.
