 		I fired off an email to HR to see if I could gain any more information about the Research Division. Didn't really go anywhere...yet. Note: the names have been changed to protect the innocent, namely me.

I was wondering if you might know of some of the more common sources (books, journals, etc.) used by SAVER Research, so that I may acquaint myself with those sources if necessary, or provide appropriate citation for reference. Also, while I am aware of Nelson Fuller's position as vice president of research, I was wondering if you might be able to provide me with some information about Mr. (Dr.?) Fuller, such as his educational background or his work experience - just so I know who I am working for and what he knows best. While it may not be appropriate to contact him, are there other individuals in the department who may be contacted? If there are any orientation documents for SAVER Research, would it be possible to receive a copy? I recognize that I am asking an awful lot, but I am just trying to better acquaint myself with the division in which I will be working.

I realize you are incredibly busy, especially with the recent wave of incoming agents (including myself), and I'd like to thank you in advance for any information you are able to provide.

Oh, super. So the one that has me demoted out of Development and misspelled my name in Research is the only one left up now. Confused

/edit: Also, for personal reasons, I would kindly ask that you just don't toss around statements like "well Xo gets in trouble all the time". Unless you guys have a list of projects Xo worked on and a proven result of them "getting in trouble" as you say those statements are simply false. Blackwater/Xo employs a lot of dedicated folks that help in a variety of ways, to include even training for many law enforcement agencies.

 		I also signed up for research and development with a quite detailled application.

I wonder wether the agent signup will stay open during the whole ARG or if it will be closed once they feel enough people are participating Confused

 		I sent an email to the main email staffSPLATsaver.co about fixing my name, and they also stated that I should be pushed up to Rank 2, no reason given other than based on my first application. Both fix and rank increase have been completed. Now rank 2. No reply to my email to HR about adding my experience to my application yet.

 		Got home for lunch, checked Twitter, nothing much going on there. Checked Gmail, two messages. One from Victoria saying that she had a meeting with Mr. Leard. Said she knew that it was probably about her name getting dropped in in leaking his name.

The other one was from Jean Evans (VP of Public Relations):

Now for the reality...

The most important thing that you need to know about Saver regarding the work you will be doing is that most of what you know of our image is manufactured. We are not the large company that we make ourselves out to be. It's good for business to be sure, but it's more about the "feel" as Mr. Newold puts it.

Almost anyone who contracts us, or contacts for us knows exactly what we are about. They know how to get that information, and we're not hiding it from them because the image we project is not for them, it's for regular Joe Public.

If you think this is something different, or something wrong, or that we are liars, then this isn't for you. You will see things here that will be spun to our benefit. You will be asked to write/say/manipulate things that amount to bending or breaking the truth, but you would also be naive to think that this is not the normal operating procedure of most companies.

We are a company who is not afraid to get dirt under our nails, and our partners know this - it's what they want. You need to be on board with this, or you need to move on.

 		Damn, I haven't gotten any new emails yet.

I have a feeling down the road, we're gonna be forced to make some difficult choices on what we decide to put spin on for Saver. I'm thinking we'll end up getting divided, and that's where the REAL game will begin.

Any speculation on our first mission?

IMO, let's give it a bit more time, see how big it gets. Some args work fine in one thread with a bit of detail to look up somewhere, but if there ends up being a lot of stuff to organize and analyze, then you bet I'll get a wiki up. Smile

*me hopes for some great storytelling, and not as interaction-heavy an experience as seems to be a recent trend Confused
