[EMAIL] WITH ED 9/28-29

Many of us have recieved emails from ED this evening, letting us know he has us in his new email address book. When ED first updated on UM that he has a new email addy, i sent him an email right away. This isn't odd for me, as i have been in contact with him for a while. Here is my email, and his reply:

Ed

I'm sorry about the site.... if there is anything i can do to help
you, i'll be more than happy to help. We have uncovered more
information. It seems there is more to this than anyone has imagined.
I need you to tell me anything at all you know about your previous
employer's personal life. Was he married? Did he have children? Are
you aware of any companies that worked with TT? Maybe a heavy ad
campaign? Perhaps someone slipped a couple thousand to make sure
people drank pepsi products, anything like that.

As for the unraveling if on the main page, you type the letter "i", it
will take you to the next page. The music upsets me, i'm not sure why.
something about the tones involved.

Write back, so i know you got this...
T.R.

Dear T.R.,

Thanks, I appreciate the offer to help. I don't think there's
anything anyone can do at this point - after all, this kind of
problem-solving is supposed to be my career, and I still can't prevent
it.

You asked a bunch of thought-provoking questions and I really wish I
had some answers for you. I never really talked to any of the people
at my old job at a personal level, so I'm not sure who was married,
who had kids, any of that stuff. As far as I know the company wasn't
affiliated with any other companies but I could very well be wrong
about that because that wasn't my area either.

The Unraveling is creepy, isn't it? I don't like to look at it at
night. Makes me wonder if the urban myth about the website that
drives you insane is really true. How far will it go, I wonder.

Heather,

I knew that poem seemed familiar! What a weird song on that next page
though. It doesn't ring any bells for me. It's an interesting theory
about William Stauffer.. back when I knew him, he didn't seem to have
the technical know-how to write a webpage, much less hack someone, but
I guess it's possible he might have learned in the time since then.

Thanks for the update, and please let me know if you come up with anything else.

Mike,

Yes, I have seen your mirror - you are one of the people I was trying
to send mail to when everything went to pieces with my site! I wanted
to thank you for putting that information up.

I've been thinking the same thing about The Unraveling being the
insanity website. I'm definitely keeping a close eye on it, so to
speak. I want to know why someone hacked into my site with
information about the Unraveling thing!

I feel special... I both sent him the GMail invite he's using AND he wanted to contact me because of my mirror Smile

OK, it was REALLY late, and i was rambling BIG TIME... and after i sent the email, i was almost certain i was not going to get a response, or not one i was looking for. but here goes:

Quote:

Ed

Do you know where or how I could find out any information on the
companies affliations, if any at all?

I've been thinking for some time now, that maybe it's time you and Ron
have contact - but he just seemes so angry. Although it was my
colleages and myself who really were the ones to get him involved, he
seems to blame you. In time, I feel he will come to his senses, but
for now.... I don't know. He went with Jamie {who runs the dread house
website linked on UM} to the gold mine hotel recently. Oh, Ed... the
images we have been seeing on that website are so awful. I cannot
believe what we are finding out. I have theories that i am afraid to
even utter allowed. How much do you believe the myths you post? Do you
believe in the supernatural? How about mind control? I think Jamie is
going to go to visit the Dream Projector clinic. She has been having
night terrors, hearing things, and other issues since they visitted
that awful place {GMH}. If even the very basics of what I suspect are
true, we may lose her.

The unraveling is becoming more and more interesting. I wish I knew
more about music. The page that we have recently stopped upon is
called amazinggrace.html IT MAY have messages about TT in the pop-up
window. I have not seen them myself, but a colleague claims to have
seen them. So we shall see. There is a sound file on that page. the
file itself appears to be only practice scales, done badly {laziness i
guess he called it}. However, it was the title of the sound file that
made me worry. I am not certaint he unraveling is directly connected
to TT. Have you ever read the book, or seen the movie, "The Secret
Life Of Walter Mitty"? I think the unraveling is either trying to make
us believe this whole thing is a farce, and equating you to Walter
Mitty OR perhaps trying to point us towards the dreams at Dream
Projector for more information about identities. I think the
"dreamers" there are survivors. Guinea Pigs.

I want to do more research with them, but they are impossible to get
in contact with. i signed up for their newsletter twice, and still
never receieve them. I've called, and gotten voice mails claiming they
are not looking for new patients, yet a friend told me in the most
recent newsletter that ARE asking for them. AND, they never replied to
my email offering to share my dreams.

I know i have said a lot, and perhaps seem a bit confused, or
confusing. IT is late here, after 4 am. I am excited, scared, and in
desperate need of some answers. Any and all feedback you have is as
always welcome. and promise me one thing, you will NOT go to GMH!! You
are perhaps my only contact that I trust 100%. Of course, that may be
my mistake as well....

Dear T.R.,

Well, since TT isn't a public company they're not obligated to offer
up any information, really. Unless they want you to know more about
their affiliations, or you find someone to spill the beans, you're
probably not going to find much out.

I guess I can understand that Ron would be angry with me. I did set
this whole investigation in motion with my autoresponder. At the time
I never dreamed that it would take such a turn. I guess.. I guess I
can send him an e-mail and offer up assistance directly. I'll tell
you honestly - I used to be a true skeptic, but the more I learn about
what goes on in the world, the more I am willing to believe. I don't
know if anything will ever really surprise me now.

I read the Walter Mitty story back in school. I have no idea how it
could relate to that music file though. I took piano lessons when I
was a kid and I remember doing practice scales but nothing like those.
Has the music been transcribed or anything?

About the Dream Projector thing - do you have any spam filters? I
actually missed one of their newsletters because it got marked as spam
on my mailbox. And no, I'm not planning on poking my head out of my
little hidey-hole right now. I'll let the braver folks go mess with
the Gold Mine Hotel, and keep repeating the saying, "Discretion is the
better part of valor".

Thank you for your trust. I appreciate it.

I emailed Ed warning him that if this is the website that causes madness and he thinks that the hack wasn't just a hack, it might have been a trap for him. He emailed me back saying he'd take care and set an alarm clock so he wouldn't look at it for too long without a break.

Ed wrote:
Dear Flidget,

Thank you for your caution. I must admit that I never thought about
it in those terms - as a mind trap for me. I'm not sure how much I
believe that a website can actually drive someone crazy, but I will
take the precaution of setting an alarm or something so that I won't
look at it for too long at a time.

Sorry about your nightmares. :-\

Dear Ed,

I caught your update on the about page.

Please, please be careful about theunraveling.com. You're not the only
one who suspects it might be that legendary site that drives you mad. Frankly,
I'm surprised that since so many people agree that it may be that we're
investigating it at all. For all you know, the hack may be a trap to lure
you there. They couldn't find you to get rid of you physically, so maybe
now they're changing tactics. They drive you mad, and you're no longer
any threat to them. No one's going to believe a crazy man. They'll win.
So please be careful.

I had nightmares about the eyes last night.

Yeah Ed, unlike certain people (*cough Ron) actually has personal responses to e-mails.
