So far
Whats going on up to the point.

I have a few questions about MH to this point.
After the newest ep. of MH I am starting to feel like Jay is forgetting more and more as time goes on.
So do others feel the same way?
Also, do you thing Jay has re watched the previous entry's to try and get back on track with finding Alex or does he not remember that and not think about watching his own work so far?
Finally has he also forgotten about the key and the safe he found because to thins point they have not been talked about any more?

I'm still a relative n00b to MH myself, but to try to sum up what I know and what I've read from others on this forum in the past week or so, I can try to answer some of this (others, please fix/add as you see fitting).

Although I haven't seen an explicit "Jay is forgetful" comment brought up, he has definitely lost a huge chunk of time (~7 months) and is somewhere he is completely unfamiliar with. If you look at his Twitter too, a few of the "forgetful" moments we see in-game are sort of explained (for instance, his lies to Jessica about the memory loss / sickness and his reasons for being at the motel. He claims not to trust her enough to tell her the truth).

Based on his whereabouts, I'd venture to assume that he isn't concerned with finding Alex so much at this point. Should he be? Well... yeah, probably. It was his "ultimate goal" as of entry #26, but so far it feels like Jay isn't being totally forward with us about everything. I'm sure he knows about it, but it seems like he's more concerned with figuring out where he is and why he's there. This is assuming a lot on my part, but maybe he's still looking for Alex consciously, but wants to know his own whereabouts since, as soon as he started his search for Alex, he blacked out for over half a year.

As for the key/safe, that's actually something I personally just brought up in a thread yesterday, and I know others who feel similarly. I don't think he's forgotten, but he has regretted to mention either of them since they appeared. I'd love to see these mysteries solved or explored in the next entry or three, honestly, but it's really up to the creators when they're gonna reveal things. Don't stop speculating, though - as long as you find the evidence to back up your claims, I've noticed pretty much any theory can gather validity and acceptance on this board, which is great for a series like this.

Trust me, you'll get more out of reading the

You, my dear internet friend, have just read my mind perfectly.

However, to keep this topic at least a little bit on track, I'll answer the original questions.

No, I don't think Jay is forgetting more as time goes on. He just sees a pretty girl and all cognitive functions make themselves scarce.

I think he's just been splitting his time between finding the location from Entry #29, looking through the 7 months of footage from his blackout, and attempting to crack that safe. Remember, he said that after X tries, it locked itself for about 15 minutes, so that would mean he wants to think clearly about every attempt, or else he wastes time he might not have.

Yeah, if he were to do nothing else but attempt to crack that safe and sleep, is would take him something like 6 weeks of straight work to clear every possible number. Naturally he probably won't have to do them all to find the number but still, we really need to find him the number.
