He has replied back to me with a series of questions and the answer, I will quote the questions only. The "tec fef" is an obvious anagram of "effect" even I worked that much out and I hate puzzles, they only slow you down.

I will get some experts to clean up this wav file, I may share the results with you if you are more forthcoming.

Questions:

1. The file contained a link to a YouTube piece of music called: Past Worlds, which of those words works best with the word "effect" ?
2. What does six characters normally represent in everyday life?
3. Why is one and zero not represented as letters, can it be because they have no corresponding letters?
4. What letter number substitution code meets item 3, you see it everyday?


Is answer to your last question, I haven't got a clue that's why I'm looking for him.

If you look at the questions Lewis gave in his email...

It represents a date.

Because on a phone the numbers one and zero have no letters associated with them.

4. What letter number substitution code meets item 3, you see it everyday?
The date 10/29/29

Btw, nice solve booba, it would have taken me forever to figure out that riddle.

has binary that reveals = prefix done with the initial letters, obvious I know

the name cvrclqgmlqypclr = extensions aren't


saith.7z (password protected archive) saith = seven

3-ft69_txt is not a .txt file it's another image file of the books

 		Looking at the files that have been sent with the "ft" in the name. I read this as foot as in a unit of measurement and it is typically noted with a ' , ie 10'4.
Reading it as 10 feet 4 inches. This notation is also used in Latitude and Longitude to denote Minutes and seconds. This may be a course to look into.

Is perhaps about cause and effect? What caused the crash or maybe what
were the effects of the crash? Not sure how this ties in with Edward
though.

I've been listening to sound file a far bit, words I've got so far are:

It all sounds English to me.

Any luck with the next password? I found a binary to text conversion
thing on the web. The results look like a crossword puzzle clue but I
haven't figured it out yet.

 		I've been having a bit of a dialogue with Lewis also. Everything is similar to the correspondence others have received. Here's the latest one he sent...
