It's just a variation on parchment paper. High end 'certificate' paper stock often has patterns, grains, watermarks, etc. to make it distinguished from common bond paper. Also gives it a semi-retro, aged look as old paper will often mottle and age irregularly.
Perhaps more to the point: it's fancy (i.e. more expensive) paper, which indicates they're going for quality on this ARG. In the immortal words from MXC: "Guy LIIIIIIIIIKE!"
ok! i'll keep that in mind! so now i got this FANCY ROCKET POPPETEERS CERTIFITACE! YAY!

I tried entering rocketpoppeteers.com/rpatp (inspired from this thread ). It works, but I think it's just the same site. I waited for it to load but by being not to patient enough (and needless to say, afraid that our old computer might lag or restart itself), I closed it when the "load meter" completed, not mentioning that nothing happened a few moments later (I think that's just what happens in Firefox or on our computer).
I'm sorry if this has already been posted before. Trout me please if it has been. :]]

I don't know if others have had this problem but I use IE7 and when I use the /a (for example), the next time I use it I get the neverending loop, so I have to add to it, like /aa, in order for it to load.

Secret RP Page? If you enter the website with the following format, you will get a white page with Rocket Poppeteers in black letters:
However, if you replace the xxx with badge number 58-ORPH-45 (from RSOF02.dat) then you get another page which continually refreshes itself.
The refreshing reminds me of morris code...

Thanks, I caught that after I hit submit. A mistake that I have made more than once. For some reason the incorrect spelling is General Interest ingrained in my mind. [/quote]

This used to happen before the site even popped up. It has nothing to do with the text after the main URL. It just happens randomly sometimes.

pfff what a load of downtimes and unhappennings.
I hate website that are "under construction" or "coming soon". That's why I keep our company website even if outdated until I can publish my fully functionnal new site. and I never advertise "look forward our new site" or else, because customers are always expecting your changes before your due date and you get negative comments about being slow to update.
BAHHHHH, I WANT TO USE MY NEW RP CERTIFICATE right now! They should have updated the site with a mysterious new login and THEN hand-out those recruit certificates. And then wait till enough people logged in to begin some action while early adopters takes the time to read trough all the crazy flavour text and media.
Sorry for the rant but it had to come out! I feel so light and happy now...
Edit: BTW, where's Josh? Oh ok He got bored to death waiting for the GM putting on some action.

Company Site One thing I was playing with -
IF you look at the RP company info - they have a PO Box in Minot ND.
IF you put that address in google maps - theres some Tri-health company.
IF you go to the aerial view- there is like nothing there.
IF you go to the Tri-health company website- their address is listed as something different.
If you type that address back into google maps- it comes back to some hotel.
Im intrigued.
