[SPEC QUESTION] SPA vs. Crew

First off let me say that I see all of the side choosing and anger toward Weephun, Let me say that if it wasnt him it would be someone else. This was planned out in depth, and I love it all! Of course everyone feels betrayed and now they dont know who to trust. Alot of people feel that the SP was our only ally and that her crew is now going to decieve us and keep us from finding out the truth. Or are they on our side? This was going to happen. Soon enough, we will have a crew member who will betray the crew and give us info that will help us in our quest for the truth. Right now, its all in who you believe. Which side is everyone going to choose? The Queen? The Princess? Neither? Personally I think the SP is the Rogue process and needs to be stopped. Which side is the flea on? Is the flea the real problem? Controlling both by playing his own game? At first I felt that we all were on the same side, but now, due to the game's interaction, we have to pick a side to play the game. So maybe everyone should just play, instead of taking it personal, because after all, it is just a game! My question is hm of you fellow ARG's are going to pick a side? Who do you think the spy is? The Judas amongst you? What will now happen at axons? Will it be a race to see who answers the live calls between the SPA and the Crew? Who plans on infiltrating the queen and gaining her trust just to betray? She already expects that and doesnt trust one of her crew members. Lets play the game, and see how much we can stir up.

[OOG]Who cares? I'm having fun, and really getting into the game now (especially since there are now some real role-playing elements in it, which force us to to think and act based on what we ourselves believe - and I believe that something like this would have happened if this weren't an ARG).[/OOG]

[Meta|(Possibly Wild) Spec]I believe that the PMs were planning a "Mutiny on the Bounty" type of scenario, and Weephun merely helped it along. Something like this would likely have happened even if none of the people on the live calls had mentioned the Princess, and - as a result - would likely have led to a similar split. Weephun was merely the catalyst that sped up this particular reaction - and, unfortunately for him, drew fire from many of the more ardent SP supporters (myself included).

I can't say I blame him - he was acting the way someone who trusted Melissa would, trying to warn her about two unidentified processes running on her server. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending upon your point of view, only one got locked down - the Princess - and the Flea remains alive, well, and perfectly functional, thank you very much Charlie![/Meta|Spec]

However, we now have a problem: This latest action on the part of the Queen has caused a schism in the crew of the Apocalypso.

There are those who believe that both the Sleeping Princess and the Pious Flea pose a threat to the Apocalypso's mission, and one of their number - Lieutenant Weephun - informed Melissa of their existence.

I can't fault the Lieutenant, though - he was doing what he believed was his duty as a member of the Apocalypso's command staff: informing the shipboard AI, Melissa, of possible threats to the Apocalypso's mission.

There are also those who - while not exactly opposing Melissa and her supporters - don't quite trust Melissa as they used to, and believe that our best chance for finding and re-activating the Princess lie with the Pious Flea, who is also in search of the Princess.

I, PFC "Mac" Walker of the 255th Marine Battalion - commonly known as the "Black Omega Mob" - am one of these people.

I, too, want to successfully complete the Apocalypso's mission, but I believe - as do the others who have jokingly nicknamed ourselves "The Army of the Sleeping Princess" - that our shipboard AI has been compromised, and that our best chances of completing our original mission lie with the Princess.

This is the crux of the difference between our respective groups: who's best to complete the Apocalypso's mission.

Those who believe Melissa is still capable of completing the mission include:

Ensign Kamen
Ensign Dragonrider
Ensign Krystyn
Pvt. Benn
Cpl. Mazian
Sgt. Mann Alive
MCPO Chappy
Lt. Weephun
Lt. Carlsen
Lt. Adam
Lt. Archon
Maj. Jared Mach
Lt. Cmdr. Shadow
Cmdr. Mike Wasz
Col. X. N. Bomb

Special Operative CHAOTIC MIND

Those who believe that Melissa has been compromised include:

Ambassador Dorkmaster, Envoy to the Princess
Squire Septimus, Assistant to Envoy Dorkmaster
Sir Centipede, Knight Rider
Sir CoffeeJedi, Knight
Sir Killer Of Lawyers, Knight
Starblade, Keeper of Sajuuk
Priestess Nuriko

Midshipman Robert "The" Bruce
PFC "Mac" Walker, 255th Marines (The Black Omega Mob)
PFC Epic, 1980th Marines (The 80's Men)
PFC B. "Hits Her Mark" Wench, 50th Marines (The Bullseye Brigade)
PFC Aelith, 32nd Marines (The Less-Than-A-Minute Men)
Cpl. Snorlinson

My bad! Sorry, I didn't catch that. I guess I was expecting Culinary Specialist or something. Forgive me as I give myself one of these: Trout

*grabs the trout and tosses it back in the freezer*

Not to worry - and no need for the trout.

Daboking pulls the Trout back out for Aspmaster because he is hungry, and he is the chef after all. Wink

No, I was sinply half-asleep when I wrote the list up - and, as a result, duplicated your name.

I'm surprised I didn't duplicate more . . . *shakes head*

The thread has been hijacked.. by a fish? >_>

Back to this notion of "on topic," I think that there are many Judas' amongst both sides, because in the end we're helping Dana. There are many faction/dogpiling topics out there pretty much confirming the same thing.

You also might want to tag this as [META].

Oh yes, nice trout-cooking.
