Alright kids, to keep an inter-thread brawl from occurring and to keep my eyes from bleeding out of their sockets due to countless $20 jokes and references to other series (and yeah, to keep me from making more threads about things that have already been discussed), LET'S UPDATE THE WIKI!!! (http://marblehornets.wikidot.com/)

I mean seriously, that thing is moldy. Let's clean house shall we?

So here's what needs doing:

*An updated recap for each episode (50 total including TTA clips). If the recap exists, make sure they're up-to-date and correct!
---Recaps should include...

-----A link to the entry / video.

-----A summary of what happened in the entry / video (1 paragraph)

-----A detailed record of events / transcripts (timestamps = bonus)

-----A summary of sightings of plot or theory relevant stuff (IE: Character introductions, distortion effects, things like pills, the safe, etc...). Again, timestamps are good.

-----A summary or link to a summary page of theories/speculation that have related evidence contained within the entry you are covering.

-----OOG evidence to back up real-world influencable theories and spec. Check out my post here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=796098#796098 :for an example of what I'm talking about.


Teaming up with a partner would be a good idea. Say the person in charge of the introduction and entry #1 works alongside of the person in charge of entry #2 and entry #3. They check each others' work and help with basic research.

Now, what we're going to have to do is sift through the forums to search out the theories, spec, and little details we may miss on our own. We're also going to have to dig up the screenshots and audio editing people have messed around with and properly cite them (IE: provide a link to where you found the stuff with a mention of the provider's name). That's why I think it'll take a week for each person to get their 2 entries done. To make it orderly, let's get a post up here with a list of what's to be done. I'll put that up in a second.

Don't worry about making things perfect from the start. The initial week of work will be our rough sketch. After that, we can get people to comb through and tidy things up. Inconsistencies will be found, connections will be made, spelling errors will be eradicated. Let's make it happen people!

There's a fair bit of information up on the wiki already, so we've got something to start with. However, when viewing the entries you are in charge of, try to watch them as if you've never seen Marble Hornets before. Fresh eyes are needed for missed clues and connections! Don't forget to work with your buddy!

Shoutout to the guys who originally threw the Wiki up. Names I remember seeing: DavFlamerock, Zeta, and LifeGospel. To everyone I missed (or if I butchered the previous names...) thanks for laying down the foundation! Can we get some keys?

Here's the list of entries that need to be updated. To keep it tidy, people should work on consecutive entries, not just go through willy-nilly. Let's try to keep entries with a TTA response under the control of the same person. Also, for now list everything that happens in the episodes as if it's the first time seeing it (as in character intros, etc). We'll go back through later and clean up the timeline once all the information is down. PM me if you'd like to volunteer. At this point, feel free to take your pick of the work to be done.  		***We need some people to put up a list of all theories and spec veins they can remember seeing. A few of the more seasoned viewers/forum members would be good for this as they've probably been around to see everything.

***We could also use some information gatherers. Their jobs would be to pick a theory or spec vein, grab as much information (links, screenshots, vids, audio clips, etc) that they can and make a page of information that is well documented and organized.

@ 5:48 in this vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB5NS5t4wTs) lists mask sighting OOG. Video is Chat Roulette footage where someone is wearing a Masky Mask that is clearly not related to MH.

Relates to proving Masks are not face-paint and are readily available.

Later on, they can go back through this record (a .TXT file is perfect for this) and sift out the crap and then post up the gems in the relevant theory / spec page in the wiki.

 		Tossed you a PM; in the intervening hours JKat showed up and screamed that she wanted to do the hashmarks, and that we should team up, which sounds fantastic to me! So... she says she'd like to snag #24 and ######, and I would like to snag... (it's hard to decide!) #25 and #26, just to leave #23 and Warning for some other maskophiles. XD

 		Oh my goodness, this is an AWESOME idea!! Wicked setup, Mantisbot -- I would love to lend a hand to this project.

If I can, I'd like to lay claim to doing Entry #24 and Entry ######. I'll give fair warning -- I'm a college student in the midst of my last and most intense semester, so it may take me more than a week but I'll try to do a good, thorough job in a reasonable amount of time.

Dray and I have spoken of buddying up in this respect, but I'll let her address that when she makes her own post in this thread.

How about just taking character bios in general? It won't be too much work. Include when they were introduced (entry #) and what is known with absolute certainty at this point. Leave the spec and theories out until we've had a chance to compile some stuff (or at least make it very clear when you're posting spec or theories).

 		Can we make it a rule to use 'The Operator' instead of 'The Slender Man' like the wiki does now? I was looking at the wiki earlier today, and that's something that really bothered me :/

What about The Operator/Slender Man? I only say that because people who arent too familiar with MH or that are just dumb may need a push in the right direction to figure out who The Operator is.

I would like to be that maskophile. However... I have never worked on a wiki before and don't know what to do! Could somebody tell me how to get started and then I'll be the guy for #23 and Warning?

EDIT: Just realized how funny it would be if I were the guy who handled the bios. But my bio is biology, not biography, so I'll leave it to someone else.

Too true. That is a rather long title. I was just suggesting this though because ive had to explain to two friends who The Operator is. It made me think that most people dont get the connection.

 		Something to track
Here's something that I think really needs to be tracked:

***When The Slenderman appears.
***When Masky appears.
***When TTA is physically near J.

For now, let's assume Masky and TTA are different people. I only mention this because I can't recall a single instance where they are all or in any combination in the same place at the same time.

Along with these appearances, track symptoms of their proximity. These would be:

***Kinds of distortion, both visual and audio.
***Ailments of the characters such as coughing, headaches, etc. Don't forget to crosscheck with the Twitter.

Just look for these in the entries you're checking right now. I'd like to try and settle a couple of debates once and for all with this inquiry, namely the relationship between the three and their effects on characters in the game.

Please don't post these things in this thread. Keep your notes to yourself until you are ready to post a Wiki update. As has been said before, patterns will start to emerge...
