Happy Cloverday! On this day the monster hit the <strike>disco</strike> city. You all everybody!
Yes, today is 01.18., three years ago, Monster hit NY and breakfasted the most of all nice friends. Well, perhaps not directly.
But the story before it
* was running 6 months before
* changed my life
* changed my blog, so I wrote continuously about ARGs
* brought me to this grandious forum
* I found so many friends here
I found out soon, after the end of the story, that "news and roumors" is the gretest place to find access to all possible realities, and since those days I`m one of the many happy residents of this place.
But this posting shouldn` be about me. It`s about us all.
What experiences had you had with Slusho? When have you joined the story? Which is your horriblest and what is your favouritest moment in this ARG?
Happy Cloverfield! Happy Monster! Happy Slusho! Happy
Ethan Haas

i remember i first was half introduced to args when i heard about the movie cloverfield and after i watched it i thought it was so interesting i had to google it and low and behold there was 1-18-08.com and more thorough searching found me this website, at the time it didnt phase me to join up, but i read through most of clovers topics and i was amazed,
as soon as i heard j.j. abrams was making another monster film (off of my younger brother) i came straight to this forum where i signed up and was raring to go. I have made a few friends here but I would love to make many more (especially in the twin teamwork fleet: grape FTW)
Now i just cant wait for more and from here on in im an ARGer.

While it's still the 17th where I'm sitting, it's close enough to join in the 1-18 celebration and extend my best wishes to all.
I got a bit into ARGs with CLOVERFIELD but wasn't a hardcore player. Got a bit more into the online experience with THE DARK KNIGHT, but didn't really find unFiction until TRON:LEGACY began which really hooked me as a viral player. I even got to break one of the clues which was fun.
Have a lot less time for SUPER 8 by comparison, but I'm still in the game. As I blogged tonight , I'm hoping this anniversary of sorts will mark the (re)launch of Rocket Poppeteers for our astronaut logins and start of the real online game.
Meanwhile I've encountered a lot of cool, funny and very smart people here, so it's all a win for me. Cheers, all!

I can't beliece that it is three years ago. Time goes by so fast. It was the first ARG i followed, at least from the last few months, and the lovie was just great. I have to watch it after school just to celebrate the anniversary.

I didn't know my ARGs from a hole in the ground at the time of the Cloverfield viral. It sounds like it was lots of fun. To those of you who enjoyed it Happy Cloverday!
(I hope 1-18 will also be known as Super8-ARG-Wait-Is-Over Day.)

Subbed out TRON, and you have my experience pretty much word for word.

My first brush with ARG I can't believe it's been three years since I sat in the theater six times in one week watching "Transformers" and lusting after Optimus Prime (in 1984, I was 7 years old and determined to marry Optimus - he was *so* much handsomer than Spike Witwiki).
After the fifth viewing in theaters, I finally broke down and looked up 1-18-08. That eventually lead me here, but I couldn't really understand ARGs until Super 8 showed up on the scene.
A bit of trivia - on a whim, I visited http://www.cloverfield.com the first time I read about the connection between the name "Cloverfield" and the weird nameless trailer.
Right now if you go there, it's a web site all about the movie "Cloverfield." Back in 2008, it was actually some kind of insurance website. I remember reading this big, bold headline on the page, "This web site is in no way related to the trailer preceding the movie 'Transformers.'"
I wonder if those poor folks ever got hacked. Gah.
I wonder how much it cost to buy their web page from them to make it the "Cloverfield" web page...

Three Years ....OMG! I can remember when i saw for the first time the trailer...but not in cinema i saw it on the internet (here in germany we had to wait very long for official cinema trailer)... after the first contact with the trailer i peed my pants, because IT WAS AMAZING !!!! And i followed this ARG just as a lurker but from beginning until the end. All you guys were soooooo great and i had too much respect of you. But at one day i was a active member, because i found really early on a cinema visit the first "german" cloverfield standee....so i maild it to a clover blog site...canīt remember which site?!
And than the day came...opening night... wuuuhhhaaaa i was sooooo nervous.....but i loved this night! For my friends it was a common movie but for me....i felt like a child.
HAPPY CLOVERDAY TOO ALL ....Really awesome for me, to be a active part of this Super 8 ARG.

Of all the ARG's I've muddled around with I don't think I dug deep enough when Cloverfield turned up.
My most distinct memory after leaving the cinema from watching Cloverfield was feeling rather dizzy. It certainly had scares in all the right places and you didn't need 3D then too feel like you were part of the movie.
"I saw it. It's a lion. It's huge."
Possible my second most watched teaser trailer.
