Well...I have debated for a while if I would get in on this...and finally decided to. I registered, but was wondering...what is this about the mail in coupon, and has anyone sent it in recentlyish and gotten whatever back? I probably won't have much time for this ARG...but seems interesting enough.
Why not enough time for this ARG ?
What else do you have going on?

All I know is that I filled out the application about a week ago and I still haven't received an e-mail with the questionnaire.
I think I missed my chance!
It took about two weeks for Silkie and I to get our email after registering, and I still haven't gotten the mailer that comes after the questionaire, so don't worry about it

I think the coupon was an initial way to get into the game, before the online registration became available. I don't think anyone has gotten anything out of the coupon mail-in recently. Doing the online registration, then the follow-up questionaire gets you into the game, and has the same effect as sending in the coupon.

I here ya, I am working on my MS in physics. That combined with children leaves little time for fun.

Nope--it was about a week and a half between signing up and getting the survey email for me, with no confirmation whatsoever. I'd give it another week, then try re-registering if there's no contact. There doesn't seem to be much going on right now anyway.
They really should put in a script to confirm the email address to cut the confusion level, because right now there's no feedback whatsoever, which is really uncommon for these types of sites....

Plot similarities I was reading on IMDB, and yes I know they are the national enquirer of sources, about " I am number four". The plot takes place in Ohio, of all places. They started as 8 and are now 4 and it's a JJ/Spielburg movie. Sounds a little close.

So apparently there will be a trailer for Super 8 during the superbowl..possibly new... according to collider.
Maybe Josh will show up and tell us all he is done playing. Stupid kid with the ball, always taking it home when the game is just getting good.

That's great news! And it's only about 2 weeks left.

I doubt Paramount would spend millions on a Super Bowl spot to show the same teaser trailer released months ago (which, like that for STAR TREK, was created solely as an independent teaser only). I'm sure this will be a full on trailer with actual production footage, all-new. Looking forward to it.
The SB trailer might also give us the next possible 'window' for the game to start up — though I still hope it will happen before that.

I wish we were moving forward in this game. Its been stagnant now for 6 weeks..unless you consider getting a poppeteer cert action..
on a side note, has anybody noticed the ARG for Apollo 18? Its really similar to this one with an old computer terminal loading sectors and revealing clues from the past etc...
Was gonna climb aboard for it but with all the time I have waited for this thing to blast off, its bound to take too much time to do both, and I am a JJ ARG fan from Cloverfield and Star trek.. so .....
Lets get this game moving PM's Please!!

Simplicity;
You stated, "it's a JJ/Spielburg movie." I read on IMDB that Dreamworks had a hand in it and Disney, but didn't notice any reference to Bad Robot, JJ, etc. Are you sure JJ is involved?

re: I AM NUMBER FOUR if it helps:
This film is a DreamWorks/SKG Studios production which Disney is releasing. Starting last year, Disney signed a deal to distribute DreamWorks' live-action (only) films.
Outside of general association via DW/SKG, Steven Spielberg is not directly involved in IANF at all, not as Exec Producer (like SUPER or in any credited capacity. Michael Bay is the Producer.
Nor is JJ Abrams involved at all, since it's a DreamWorks production. JJ's and Bad Robot films have their deal with Paramount.

Maybe we'll see an add for Rocket Poppeteers.
Somehow, just a plain old trailer doesn't seem inventive enough for JJ. At very least they ought to have the RP ice cream truck there.
