So lately I've been getting chills down my spine pretty much any time I set foot in the room with my computer in it. Roughly at the same time as these chills, I'll randomly see movement (distinct movement, not just vague 'did something just move' moments, but actual 'omg, something is moving' moments, sometimes a very clear 'head outline') out of the corner of my eye. Now keep in mind that yes, there are cats and other people in the house, but both cats are in the same room as the people, who (I check immediately afterwards, not enough of a gap for them to move from one room to another) are in another room. As soon as I turn to look, there's nothing there.

Imagination (most likely from a 'realism' standpoint, least likely from an 'it's so distinct and obvious' position), Perception Filter, or something creepier... and more slender?

Seeing as I like to chime in on this thread every so often (almost the oldest thread on the front page now btw!), heres one which I posted to my blog last night:

I was lying on the sofa, as I am wont to do of a Saturday evening (Hey y'all, its party central up in here!) and I would occasionally glance out the window and across the road at the houses which face us (they can see right in as, in a particularly well educated moment, the lady of the house cut the strings on the blinds when they were up and now we can only wind them half down).
Anyway, I glanced over and there was a man in the opposite window silhoutted against a white wall - he was tall and thin and didn't see to be moving apart from a gradual swaying of his head. I tried to ignore it and continue losing miserably on Black Ops, but every time I looked back he was still there, just staring. Eventually the lights flicked off in his room, but he was still standing there - looming into the darkness. It wasn't until I was about to freak the hell out that he stood up - aparently he was leaning on the windowsill watching a movie with his friends, he was facing away from me... curse you MH, I'll never sleep properly again!

Any listeners of the Mountain Goats around here?

Because the song "Maybe Sprout Wings" from Get Lonely always gives me a very MH feel.

Especially the line "I thought of old friends, the ones who'd gone missing/said all their names three times/phantoms in the early dark/canaries in the mines/ghosts and clouds/and nameless things/squint your eyes and hope real hard/maybe sprout wings."

It makes me think of Jay laying coughing on the floor with the edited "ALEX? BRIAN?" over him, and Alex sitting against the wall, listing his friends who are "gone."

Man, you're totally right! I hadn't heard anything by the Mountain Goats before, but I went and checked it out. Great lyrics.

Have you heard the Marlboro Hornets mixes yet?

 my real life experiences...

Shocked I also introduced many of my friends to marble hornets. I have made a photoshopped Where's Waldo style image of slenderman too.

I have had two slenderific experiences:
My friend and I were in my car gazing at the stars (I have a sunroof) on her property. Her home is surrounded by thick woods, and a supposedly haunted church was located near by.
We were talking about random stuff, and I made a joke about slenderman. I often joke that he lives in the woods by her house.
I turn on the radio, and a talk radio show happens to come on, and the voice says, " he's coming".
I quickly change the station, slenderman on the brain.
The next thing I tune to is a song, and the lyric is "run as fast as you can"
My friend is completely freaked, as am I. She leaves and I leave. I turn on the radio again, and I hear ringing bells. It was a jewelry commercial.
Nothing happened that night, but it freaked me out.

The second incident-
My mother and I were alone at our house on new years eve. My father was not there. My mother and I stayed up late and watched the "ball" drop. We both heard a strange noise in the kitchen (we were in the living room) that resembled a sneeze or something metallic. later, I was alone in the living room, sitting by the front door. I heard firecrackers outside in our neighborhood, so any strange noise would be drowned out. for some reason I looked at the doorknob and it TURNED. fast and deliberately, one turn to the right, one to the left, then stillness. I dared not to open it, because it could very well have been a thief or worse trying to get in our house. nothing happened that night, but I couldn't sleep. we called the police and they put us on extra patrol.

these things could have been mere coincidence and a prank , but I just don't know.

For the 1st one: That is kinda cool, but really scary D':
It's a sign Smile

2nd one: O_O I'm glad nothing happened that night, are you sure it wasn't a family member or anything?

How has it affected you?

There didn't seem to be a place for us to discuss things like this, the rage thread is for raging, the where's my entry thread is for... well, raging!

I thought, particularly with the new entry, MH is one of the the most well known High Octane Nightmare Fuels out there and I know Slendy has crept his way into my subconscious. Also, its hard to start talking about this kind of stuff on uF without it appearing to be a rabbithole! So, I thought we could share the experiences we've had where Marble Hornets has made its way into your life.

So, I'll start:

You know when you're super tired - maybe you've been in bed for half an hour but just can't sleep. Well, when I'm in this state sometimes I'll hallucinate. I'm not awake, but I'm not quite asleep - I don't think its sleep paralysis and I don't think its quite a full dream - but usually they are quite vivid.

1) A few weeks ago I had one of these experiences. I was lying in bed (in my old house, I moved out about 2 weeks ago), there was a window next to my bed and one at the foot of my bed. Outside the window at my feet there is a roof which covers the dining room downstairs, so it is perfectly feasable to climb out and sit on there. In this instance there was someone there - I'm sure you can guess who it was! He was crouched on the roof, staring at me with his eyeless face. After a few seconds he slowly put his hand up and pressed it against the glass - then I snapped out of it and he was gone.

2) A couple of weeks later, the first night in my new place. I am lying in bed, pretty shattered (I'd spent all day putting up blinds and picture hooks - one of which held a big mirror to my bedroom wall). I looked over and in the darkness I saw a tall dark and thin figure in the mirror - his arms curled and twisted and seemed to bleed out of the mirror and down the wall. I blinked and looked again, he was slinking into the wardrobe which is at the bottom of our bed (the door is always kept slightly ajar cus we hang so many clothes over it!) and just like that he was gone.

I know both of these experiences were just in my mind, but they freaked me the *bleep* (apologies) out. I know they were probably caused by a combination of too much MH and the stress of moving out of the family home.

Has anyone else had any freaky MH dreams? Caught a glimpse of Slendy or Masky out of the corner of their eye in a darkened street?

Does your fear of Slenderisation prohibit you exploring nearby wooded areas? Have you been injured, tripped or fallen when it wasn't your fault? You could make a claim!...

Well...I've watched it before going to bed (dumb idea rofl) and had a weird dream I was running around filming with them. LOL. Other than that, sometimes I get paranoid walking around my house at night thinking Slendy is gonna pop up on my porch outside my window. Imagination running wild.

Because of Marble Hornets I scan the background of pictures before looking at the actual subject ._.

I've had a few nightmares involving Slender Man and Marble Hornets-y things.

I tend to freak out when I'm outside, especially when I'm alone. I start to feel like I'm being watched ><

Some time ago, I had one Marble Hornet-ish dream. And another dream with some MH stuffed in.
One of them was of me and some friends in a graveyard at night, wanting to scare some guy with one of us dressing as Slenderman. We split up, and waited for the guy to come around. From where I was hiding, I looked around and saw the long, tall figure some yards away from me. In the perfect position to scare the guy. The guy went inside a mausoleum, and I heard a noise behind me. I turned around, and it was nothing. When I looked to the front again, there was no one there, and the mausoleum was closed. We heard the guy screaming and screaming, so we gathered around the mausoleumīs doors. We found out we couldnīt open it. Then, one of my friends came by, the one who was supposed to dress up as SM. We turned to the mausoleum, and the screams had stopped. (Kind of cliché dream though...)
My other dream wasnīt as striking, all I remember was getting up very early and turning on my computer. I went into marblehornetīs twitter, and it said:
"I donīt know where Jessica is, or if is she safe. Entry #40 is being uploaded."
When I woke up I was all: O.o
(Iīm not sure, but I think this was the day Entry #32 was posted O_O)

I had a Slendy dream / nightmare about the season finale of this season of MH.
So, apparently they were at a quarry or some sort of rocky mountainous terrain because thats where Slendy died as a human or something. So Jay and Jessica leave this cave cause they found nothing inside even though they thought there was something in there and in the distance you see a truck start to drive towards them on a rocky trail and they were like. "Oh hey, its Alex! Yayyy Alex!" Then all of a sudden a flying Slendy comes out of nowhere and just sidewinds the car and knocks Alex off of the trail and into the bottom of the quarry. Jay and Jes are all like. "D: Alex noooooo :c" so Slendy flies again and is headed towards Jay and Jes and they freak out and run back into the cave....
That was all that I remembered xD

Often, when I'm really tired, I have oddly prophetic dreams. Nothing too big, just stuff like what song plays on the radio on the way to work, or something somebody says later that day.

Now, last night, I dreamed that I was sitting in front of my computer, and got bored. I logged on to twitter, and the first thing I noticed was a new Marblehornets entry (33)
So, being the Slender-head I am, I clicked the link and began watching.

Not creeped out yet? Well what if I told you that the entry in my dream happened nearly exactly like the REAL entry 33?

the other evening i was in my basement fixing my skateboard up and all of a sudden a hear a couple of loud knocks on my basement door, which is behind the house and there was no light on outside so there was no reason any normal person would be knocking on it. i jumped so much and ran upstairs as fast as possible. my mom got mad cuz i didn't turn off the lights when i came up but that was because i was afraid if i turned them off the operator will appear and follow me up them stairs
