@thisone
wow...pretty interesting...looks almost pictogramish.
just for a sense of context, what did your image to him have in it? (just trying to figure out if he's directly responding to something or if he's just being him).

I don't think so it was just a general Christmasy type picture with the Christmas tree made from the text of my message.

oh and in case you cant see the image is called ialwayscelebrate.jpg

I'm not sure about the fork in the image or why the hose seems to be running from some kind of frog or snake head.
The left corner of the bucket is kind of chopped off, not sure of the relevance. (then again not sure of the relevance of the rest of it)

I have told him that we are allies and to tell me about our enemy(ies)

I'll make an account here one day I swear Smile

Friend Gallery

airportdisco wrote:

Also, about the new images in the friend gallery...they all seem to be by the same person.

Does the Friends Gallery consist entirely of content sent to HatShoe?

Assumption 1:
HS created all of the friends pictures himself/themselves. This would explain why the most recent three look like the same person drew them.

If this is the case, then I'd assume that the 'gent' is airportdisco as HS said 'you're a gent' in that hand written letter (to aiportdisco).

Also, it would seem that the female with the mask on, who is from the 'N' video, is a friend of HS, not an adversary.

Assumption 2:
The friends in the gallery have been sent to HS by external parties. If that's the case then I'd tend to agree with airportdisco:

airportdisco wrote:
What's disconcerting is that said person hasn't posted on this forum...but is obviously in at least semi-regular contact with S.
What do you think? Any way we can find him/her?

I don't think there's any way we could contact this person without HS facilitating it.

Another question:
@airportdisco: By referring to HS as S (I'm assuming you're doing this since he/she/they signed off the letter with S), are you assuming there is a separate person going by H?

albrar analysis
thoughts on it; inconclusive

image named "albrar". other than the file extension, there's a youtube vid of a coati in brazil, reminiscent of wearerofthehat's "the second" vid, and fendahlman's (my) "cygnid 1.2" vid

1: q.v. similar shape on "chesthair" and maybe other battle-axe/bats, ("trap", "seldon"); is it a pelt to be tanned? does the act of tanning cause results in middle age men? (see attachment tanningresults)
2: q.v. balls? oranges? on "trap" numbers? letters? "t"?
3: q.v. dog's head on "methods", "i" in left ear, "7" in right ear?
4: this one's weird: googling "most things taken into consideration" (with quotation marks) get 4 results, two of which are a blog entitled 40 shades of gray (see middle attachment) then compare shape of what I thought was a sand castle in the middle of albrar. coincidental? {and doesn't HS concern himself at times with canine feces as well from time to time?--"methods/doglady"} [i don't suggest that HS is related to the blog, but he may have seen it?]
5: grid marks featured in my message to HS

@Knucklehead
Disjointed thoughts on the image you received:
The thing that often strikes me about some of S's drawings is that they look very deliberate...like he's looking at a picture and trying to draw it. A lot of what appears on this page seems that way to me. The castle/tower thing...I just can't get over that I've seen it before. I spent an hour last night google image searching. At first I thought it was a castle from an old Final Fantasy NES game but I couldn't find the one I was thinking of. Then I wondered if I was thinking of the cover art from Stephen King's Dark Tower series or the graphic novels based on it but they don't really match up. I am positive, however, that he was looking directly at a picture and recreating it. The lines aren't confident like when someone is doodling and doesn't really care about the outcome or even drawing something from memory. They're light and careful and corrective.

The shape in the upper left is weirdly familiar to me as well. What's interesting is it's symmetrical with an apparent "fold line" down the middle. This is, like everything, just a shot in the dark, but what if some of the entries are meant to be folded or mirrored?

@Fzugua
The early Friend Gallery images contain references to "Rule 34" and quick MS Paint drawings, which is very indicative of 4channers. Reading back through this forum, there's talk of the channers coming here and mucking up the works every once and a while so we know HS caught their attention (at least in passing) once upon a time. This along with the very different styles and file names (forhatshoe.jpg etc) leads me to believe the Friend Gallery definitely consists of images sent to him.

Also, I was REALLY hoping that the S stood for Sheldon as that would open a very interesting avenue, but the idea that it stands for Shoe and there's someone else who is Hat...(top and bottom...one doing the thinking and one doing the walking/work) is very intriguing as well. Goddamnit.

Also...it's very possible I'm losing my mind...but didn't the "video description" of "N" used to say something like "I don't think she's even an associate of an associate" or something to that effect? Because it now says "I don't think she knows him. She might not be alone."

regarding folding and mirroring hs images, that's something interesting that i only fiddled with briefly with the document attached "yes". sorry, i don't remember whence it came anymore. (someone else's forum post, to be sure.) --k

I'll think on something to ask him tonight, as a reply.

the picture of the serpent in the hand is reminiscent of representations of the constellation ophiucus and serpens (caput)

?the HEAD of the serpent handler is 'Ras Al Hague'?

Ophiucus is akin to asclepius who is not alien to hermes trismegistus, mercury, thoth. (did anyone notice or consider the "wings" (with "6(?)") in the new friend image 'gent'?)

other than that, i'm feeling a beach setting: sand pail and rake, (?carried forward into the sandcastle in albrar?) the frown parallels the handle of the pail. i tried to work it rebus style, "rake handle" -- "ray candle" . . .

wild guesses

Wild Guesses...
Picture emails from HS

Regarding the email sent to thisone, we don't believe in coincidences here do we? Ally Bucket: http://www.facebook.com/people/Ally-Bucket/1216485806

This Facebook account has only one friend and one 'Like' so it's highly likely to have been setup only recently. The 'Like' refers to a Christian Rock band named Sanctus Real, and the friend has a profile picture of a person with a tattoo of a Cross on their back. I don't know what to make of it and how it might relate to whatever currently needs to be solved, but that's what I found.

The profile picture of 'Ally Bucket' is a basketballer, I don't know who it is as I don't follow basketball, but they seem to be disliked by Ally Bucket.

Regarding the email sent to Knucklehead, the drawing annotated as #1 I agree it's got to be an animal skin, the back half. I think the line down the middle is to signify its symmetry. Synonyms for skin: hide, pelt, fur, coat

Knucklehead used the word pelt which, as he said, relates to the hair/baldness theme of a couple of hatshoe's pages. The YouTube video found when searching for albrar was of a coati - coat. I also like the association with the word 'hide', using an alternate meaning. Again, no idea what to make of it as a whole.

'I oughta tan your hide' is a slang term for 'you deserve a smack' or some kind of severe disciplining (OT: we don't hear the term so much in these days of political correctness and fear of mentally disturbing the child that may deserve a tanned hide).

Maybe, since it's just the back half of a coat or hide it's representing the last half of the word, ie. 'at' or 'de'. 'At' sounds like it could definitely be the first word in a coded message.

There seem to be a lot of clues with no answers at the moment, how many things are we meant to be solving here? I'm way outta my depth...

I might email HS and see if anything comes back, no idea what to say though.

So a couple of us have been emailing so as to quickly spitball ideas without clogging up the thread with harebrained tangents.
I figured I'd post an excerpt of a message I just sent to another player in the hope that perhaps my line of thinking was somewhat correct but my execution was terrible and someone will see where I went wrong and solve this thing.

On the subject of the image to "thisone" as a rebus:
Quote:
...i was trying to work it with bucket or pail but with handle...if the first object is a fork...it could be "four candle"....sad face...."four candles add"....the problem is the end. it seems to be a draining hose...one end of which is a snake. Now, the child in me wants to see that as a euphemism for urination..."drain the snake" or something...so it could be "piss"...or "pissed"...which is how you would say .psd (photoshop format...same format the final clue to the email was in)...so "four candles add psd", or - FourCandles.psd.
I tried entering every variation of capitalization and replacing "four" with "4" and "for" but nothing.

There is also a distinct possibility that I am completely and utterly wrong.
It just felt so close. Ugh.
Figured it couldn't hurt to throw out.

p.s. - @fzugua i requested the "friendship" of ally bucket...just in case.

Nomi on the brain

@ thisone's image ialwayscelebrate.jpg and its pictogram-ness; I think the first thing is a spork which could be "spoke" and the bucket could be "but it" and then I have almost no idea after that.

@Knucklehead, I think you may be onto something with the snake bearer bit in the picture. It also looks like an upside down omega (Ω) and from what Ive read online Ophiuchus is in alignment with the galactic center in the Dec 2012 which would be the end (Ω) according to some people.

@fzugua the basketball player from the Ally Bucket profile is LeBron James if that helps at all.

I've been educating myself on the Nomi mythos as well as I can and I feel there may be parallels with this world hatshoe is (very slowly) enlightening us about. I don't wanna take up space here with stuff you can find by googling "Nomi mythos" but I feel this quote is a good summation of the spirit of Nomi's persona.
Quote:
Even at his most wildly ridiculous ('Lightnin' Strikes') or quaveringly sublime (Purcell's 'Death'), there was an acknowledgment of impending apocalypse that lent it conviction. For Klaus, apocalypse was a metaphor for purification, and as the oddball optimist surrounded by cynical detachment and resignation, he dared to believe in a better world. -Kristian Hoffman

This same Kristian Hoffman in a deleted scene from The Nomi Song DVD spelled out the order of the songs he wrote for/with Nomi with emphasis on the mythos and how he knew the songs were "vehicles" for it. I'll just paraphrase/quote him here.

Total Eclipse: The positive qualities of humanity being eclipsed. People seeking truth over spirituality or ugliness over beauty.
Nomi Song: "Here I am, you may not be able to recognize me at first and maybe I have to be so outlandish to get you to hear me but here I am, at the edge of this apocolypse, I'm with you"
After The Fall: "who cares if all that stuff happens? who cares if punk destroys culture... we want to remember and build, we have a different thing, so when everything else is gone, we're gonna build this vision.
Simple Man: "the message song" the message being love, simply.

The only reason I feel any of this may be important is the knowbody page and the know me/Nomi (NOMI upside down and reversed is IWON aswell) word play at work in a few of his covers and songs. That and the bit of code [onload="MM_preloadImages('knowbodytest.jpg')"] on ididnt.html and the lyrics from Nomi Song "Now I'm all alone/It's like some kind of test." I've tried some word combinations with all of this in mind but have had no luck. Maybe someone else will?

I think I've jabbered on enough for now. Oy.
