omega nebula in context
annotated stellarium screen cap

this is set up for 2011 01 13. the night before 'thisone's post.

i added the green notes.

omega nebula is centered at that tiny gold dot in the blue "crosshairs"

serpens is a weird constellation in that it's the only one that is non-contiguous. there is a 'serpens cauda' (serpents tail) to the left (east) of 'ophiucus' and a 'serpens caput' (serpents head) to the right (west).

i only underlined mercury because of the whole "hat" "shoe" thing . . .

the green shape i drew over the sagittarius (centaur archer figure) is an asterism commonly referred to as 'the teapot' (q.v., '12:19'[found yer teapot])

Please forgive my ignorance of astronomy, would these things look different from HS's perspective? i.e. Canada? just noticed it said chicago in the corner.

Also I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure when I looked last week that "L'oiseau est la mot" wasn't there, and now its back. I could have missed it but it just got me thinking, Does anyone know the kind(s) of bird that is pictured in breaking?

astro and breaking

the only things with significant proper motion (that is movement relative to the celestial sphere) are the sun, moon, and planets ("planet" is related to "wanderer") the difference between chicago, toronto would be fairly small in the course of a night. the deep sky objects (galaxies, nebulae, clusters) and stars (constellations) are "fixed."

the top and bottom look like pigeons, the middle looks like a frog (wild guesses . . .)

night and day

i hope i didn't seem to suggest that the stellarium screencap above would have been visible. i was wrong to say set up for night as it was in the daytime. it was just meant to show relative positions of the objects. sorry.

Yeah, chesthair is back, hmm.

Also in inscribed the head of the figure with the spear links to http://hatshoe.org/relief.html

It also makes refrence to another game with a monster called Hedrian.

Also, the spider collection from that other page that slips my mind atm.

I read it as Hadrian as in one of gibbon's five good emperors, builder of the wall?

Maybe I was jumping to conclusions but it kinda looks like it could be a sludge monster as described on that wiki. I don't know!

just a quick disconcerting observation...

relief.jpg is actually relief.JPG

typing it in lower case won't bring up the image.

so all the things we've searched for in the past...capitalizing .jpg was an option.

ugh.

Also, in Daily Bath..."Rick's" location is set as "Southern Creekraw" which not only isn't a real place, but isn't even a made up place. In fact, if you google "creekraw" with quotations, it appears no where else on the entire internet...a strange theme with a lot of hs stuff. My first thought is it's an anagram, but who knows.

new WoC tweet
answers a question

New WoC tweet:
Left your fireplace on again. Took care of it for you. Don't worry about it.

Seems an appropriate answer to what I asked him earlier tonight about the ClocktowerKing on twitter. "Don't worry about it."

Oy

So, I did something possibly use less. I copy and pasted all the email contact from hatshoe on the wiki. http://hat-shoe.wikia.com/wiki/Contact

It definitely could use some cleaning up though.

Also while reading everything over I saw this from sept. 28:

double post.

he just updated the page like 30 seconds ago.

back to white/blue

duran duran quote gone from index source

additions: confines (w/ flavian video)

removed: "when the beginning appears as such again, we'll know it is time to search" from both stadium and station

Edited as i find stuff.

Chesthair just showed up again yeah? I believe it was in the original batch. I guess the search begins?
