 		I just want to point out that the inability to define characters, a plot, a decent setting, and a real conflict (i.e ACTUAL STORYTELLING) should not be over looked due to the overall creepy-ness of the Slederman myth in general. Sure, Slenderman is creepy as hell, but NEVER let your already present fear of him cloud your judgement on a certain series. TT, MH, and EMH all have a certain amount "HOLY BALLS WHAT IS SLENDERMANS GOING TO DO NEXT" mainly due to the fact that he has already fucked up their lives without the main characters realizing it until it's too late. Alex disappeared, leaving Jay a bunch of mysterious tapes with some tall dude on them. The EMH crew found freaking bags of guts in the woods. Noah's freaking cousin died. These are all good examples of creating a terrifying atmosphere without relying on the mere presence of Slenderman to make their series scary. Saying "There was a tall guy with no face stalking me" is not scary. Let the viewer determine what the hell is going on, THEN let the main characters squirm.
Also, using a TTA character without introducing ANY side characters AT ALL defeats the purpose of having him at all. ToTheArk is a human who is serving the Slenderman. For this to work, you need to introduce a possible alter ego (See Tim, Evan, Milo's mom).

Tl;dr
Story telling is important and TTAs should stop being used in EVERY FUCKING SERIES.
