[OT] Halloween 2011 Slender Costume ideas So...I'm about 6'4/6'5 and a good 180 lbs (Muscular/slim not skeleton =p). basically, I wanna be Slender Man for Halloween this year and I wanted to ask the community a few things first:
1. Is my height ok? I didnt know what the minimum height for Slender Man is..and if it's not right any ideas on how to raise height.
2. Any ideas on a "no-face" look?
3. I want to act "in-character". bad idea?
4. What to do about the tentecles?
I'd appreciate you guys feeding to my...desire to be Slender Man. =D
EDIT: Also I know that the forum is a tad clogged with OT and Spec as it is and that Halloween is a loooong way off..but I also have a sinister and evil plan to scare my MH loving friends.

I've always found the tentacles to be a cheesy part of the story anyway, so if you want you could ditch them.
Your height is probably ok, but I would try to find some way of lengthening your arms (not too much, just enough to look unnatural) perhaps with fake hands on short sticks?
Re: a noface look - a sewn up sleeve to a large white t-shirt is pretty good (thick enough to hide your features). Failing that thick white tights.
Then just a black suit/tie.

DEFINITELY black tie (I'm still not sure where the red tie originated from... was that a part of the SA origin, or added later?) It looks more sinister anyway.
Also, stockings/leggings that are white seem to work pretty well. They don't hide the features nearly as well as a white t-shirt would, but the night-time visibility is probably a bit better. Can't say for sure (I'm at school and have no access to any of this right now )
If you can't get fake hands to use with the ensemble (not sure how available non-mutilated fake hands are) you could always guerilla it by using some flesh-coloured surgical gloves filled with gelatin (or painted to look fleshy... or just left white? Does Slendy have flesh-coloured anything?).
Please post pictures. I've actually considered this myself (though I'm only a paltry 6'1", so I'd probably need stilts, which my awkward, lumbering frame wouldn't allow for, most likely... :sob:)

I'd say you don't need to work so hard on the hands. Look at entry #14. He looks like he has mitten hands or something.

My friend and I are gonna be Masky and our Slender-friend for Wondercon. She's already 6', but we're gonna get drywall stilts just for fun. xD
What we're doing for the mask is probably get a masky-mask base, paint it fleshed colored, and adhere some skin-colored tights to it, which we can wrap around the back and seam down the neck so that it can be one big mask (and relatively seamless).
Either that, or we beat the crap out of an old fencing mask.
Keep in mind I'm the hardcore cosplayer type, so you don't need to go that far. xD

The red tie probably came from Slenderman's similarity to the "mascot" of Anonymous (A faceless man in a black suit with a red tie).

I'd try to raise your height to 6 foot seven.

Hey it's almost like we know each other or something.
FYI - Get on Skype sometime. The 33 Masky mask is slightly different, and there are decisions to be made.

My friend who introduced me to the series is going to be the Operator for Halloween this year (don't know exactly how he's doing it but... not a huge deal, he's an art student, he'll figure something out).
I get to be.... MASKY! I'm working on it already, well, kinda.
And I've got a hat like Jay's so we're hoping to find someone to follow us around with it and a camera all day and be our Jay.

This year I'm planning on going as Masky. That means I have to let my sideburns grow, buy a good mask. (The same one I've been looking for for the better part of a year) and find a nice brown jacket.
Pics are promised the minute I set it all up.

where can you get a masky mask? just wondering, where can you get the basic mask (which would later have to be painted)
