Sounds a bit defeatist... Since he's apparently given up the Coelacanth search is that the end of HLM? Either way, since Mysterio's obviously keeping an eye on the blog (unless he's given up by now like we've all been tempted to) I reckon we can expect something from him soon.

"Sorry for the silence. Just had some unexpected things come up. In case you were bothered about the coelacanth, I never got and won't attempt to again."
Is Josh drunk again? Or is it really Josh? maybe his captors?
The grammar is wrong.. and this is the first post he hasnt used a capital 'C' when spelling Coelacanth... something seems a little fishy to me..

There's a new January calendar up now too that wasn't there the first time I looked.
Maybe it'll be used by mysterio to set a new chat on sties (wishful thinking).

I tend to agree--it almost seems as though his site has been co-opted. There's a number of things we could infer in this unreal world.
1. Perhaps his coelacanth connection was a setup, sting operation and he got thrown in the slammer for attempting to purchase an endangered species?
2. It isn't Josh and someone else is trying to convince his "readers" that he's alright, but has given up on his quest. (I personally don't think it is Mysterio, as he seemed genuine in his concern for what had happened to Aqua-Lad.)
3. The coelacanth is a metaphor for someone, or something--possibly his father?--and he's thrown in the towel. But why? What convincing evidence did he discover that led to this decision (and what perhaps have we missed?)
4. Is it my imagination, or did things come to a screeching halt when Mysterio posted the photo of Josh's "dad?" Maybe Mysterio (and we) have assumed that the black gentleman, or a black gentleman, was his father, and Josh recognized that that photo didn't jive with photos he had seen of his father. Maybe Josh figured the photo was photoshopped in some way?
Just some thoughts...
At least something has happened.

I agree with this. Josh was told not to post publicly, the coelacanth journal was a way for him to blog about his quest to find his father without actually spelling it out.

Josh's missing days... I tend to agree that this defeatist tone is not quite Josh's style. His prior posts sounded resolved to fish the fish at all costs. Now, all of a sudden, he's given up. Just not Kosher, not consistent with prior postings. Not to mention the long silence with no explanation. Not even a hint as to what he was goign through. Just seems Hinky.
I'm just wondering if Josh is being held captive or being told what to say and this was his cry for help.
