I want just to remind one of the very first clues we got. Message from first prints "we must go underground" . First of all underground definietly has new meaning right now. Second - Moby Dick has blackened word - i believe this is the same code that was used in newspaper print and it is the one Mysterio is refering to and that's why he need rest of book with probably another blackened words.

Yes, MrFett, this is very nice notice! Indeed, "we must go underground" is not a "beeing endangered and so on the run"-meaning, but rather urgent call to dis-cover something perhaps.

We did find a couple more of the blackened spots previously. I don't know how well they show up in this crop, but I used green arrows to point to the other two places with the black marks. They are on the L in library and the second C in classics. If we're supposed to use these marks to read something, we'll have to figure out what that something is too. Guess we need to look for more info in new posts and uploads.
Here's a cropped pic with the marks and a pic of a similar page:

Remember when the trailer in Brazil (I think) came out with the "Darlings" attached? Well there is a David Darling who is an astonomer from Scotland and has The Worlds of David Darling website. There seems to be an infinite supply of knowledge here including a link to his ENCYCLOPEDIA OF ALTERNATIVE ENERGY AND SUSTAINABLE LIVING.
I think the Darling and alternative energy connections are interesting. Maybe we're supposed to use his encyclopedia as a resource. If not it's still an interesting site. There's plenty about space travel, the universe, coelacanths, Star Trek, Star Wars - even Spielberg. It's pretty amazing. Oh well, just thought I'd mention it.

coelecanth I know we've beat this to death but given light of the new facts how hard have we looked? Josh is looking for a RARE fish. I'm guessing that the rare fish is his father. Okay don't fish me yet. He keeps using shady fishermen to look for this FISH. Can his dad be in a oceanic cave below the surface of an ocean? Perhaps frog men are needed or even a submarine to reach this location? This would also explain the need for a pressurized tank, decompression.

d12 Any chance that D12 entry might refer to" Down 12 entry" like in "5D & 5O"?
Edit: I've added 2 screenshot of the 12th entry down in PDP-11 (FATR7) and the 12th post doen on josh's blog (may26th).

loving the frog man theories but i think your jumping ahead a little bit josh and us only just found out about his dads role/job and josh has been looking for rare fish since the start of this arg unless of course josh also looked up trogl and had guessed his dad worked in underwater caves but i think he was fish hunting way before we or he found the original trogl clue but i do like your thinking

My question is: if he was Biospeleologist and dig deep into the caves, why something they found was "foreign matter"? Is it lasted here on Earth for thousands of years bevor Joshs father and his collegues found it?
It is not hard to believe that something can go undiscovered in a cave for long periods of time. Many caves are not even discovered until a sink hole opens up after a large storm event. I have been in such a cave, and many discoveries are made, such as bones from the Pleistocene.
I am guessing that the foreign matter is some form of extra terrestrial DNA that made its way into a cave after an impact event. Whatever was in that train was not human, so I am guessing that the DNA was used to create something other than energy.

Code thoughts Regarding the D12 and Cozmo's "C" and "L" reference in the comic book.
D, C, and L are all Roman numerals; D=500; C=100; L=50.
Could D12=512 (which I know is a very imporatnt number computer-wise.
Just thinkin'.
Also, in the latest chat when Josh asks Mysterio regarding "the picture you sent me. That was my dad, right?" Mysterio doesn't answer the question, but is evasive as usual.
I would have thought that Josh would have been shown a photo (or at least been provided a description of him) by his mother.
Just seems odd, but that appears to be the them of this ARG.
