I don't know if this is of any use, but the picture reminded me of this Alice in Wonderland quote, "Begin at the beginning," the King said gravely, "and go on till you come to the end: then stop."

Funny you should mention that--White Rabbit has actually mentioned that exact quote himself in the comments.

Anyway, Begin is obviously the beginning, and end is obviously the end. Here's a bit more info Rabbit gave in the comments:

Quote:
Only one path leads from beginning to end. Many paths lead to and from nowhere at all. Many paths do not connect. Not every color is travelled through along your way. You will need to know which colors you travel through along this path, and most importantly of all, which ones you avoid.

So obviously, there are some red herrings. Which may or may not include red. I think it's safe to say that it goes Begin-Yellow-??? at the very least, because Yellow lines up exceptionally well with Begin.

Also, I've been talking with the folks at Slender Nation, some of whom also received e-mails. Since there's a comment about "not having to leave your comfy chair" to get to it, implying that it's some sort of web-based location. We've come to the conclusion that the colors are probably passwords, and probably aren't in any real order related to the rainbow.

This is the best I've come up with. And I think that's it. Going to ask the Rabbit.

Arranging the color pieces..

Hi all,

Haven't been around in a while, but I'm loving this so far...

One thing I can't help but think about is the movie contact... Remember when they were trying to find the primmer so they could appropriately arrange the pages and decode the message? The guy who figured it out said you had to think multi-dimensional... Perhaps we need to think about this puzzle the same way... Remember, it could be cylindrical, leading down the rabbit hole?

Far-fetched?

Scott

Mute, I think you've got it.

I also think everyone needs to call an immediate halt to bickering on Alice's, or any other, game blog. It's annoying and helps no one. You guys all have email addresses if you want to fight.

That looks as near as dammit to me. Which would mean that:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We pass Yellow, Blue, Red, Green, and AVOID Violet Orange and Indigo

I still do not know what this means.

Hi all, btw.

Wow map was solved while I was at work! Nice job mute!

Just thought I would say that this map reminds me maps for text-based multiplayer games. They would be tell you right, left, up or down, or east, west north and south, and they would have dots like this and L-L-R-U... etc.
Here is a pic
got it here http://www.dragons-gate.com/library/maps.htm

Also, I don't know if this is helpful to think about, but there are 27 dots.

I just got a response from the rabbit. He's not telling if I'm right or not. And I think that we won't find out if we have the right path until we get to the party or not. He also mentioned that there was a terrible lot of talking about the date and time yet no one has been polite enough to ask about what sort of favour to bring.
So keep working on other versions of the map. I'll still be looking to see if there are any other possibilities I can find. and favour???

He could mean... Like, a little gift for the person hosting the party, maybe? Perhaps we need to alert Alice to something she needs to bring the Rabbit?

I think that is what he means, a gift for the host. From Alice's blog the only two things she mentions are a radio ( thrown out due to evil static) and a bell ( placed on her door to keep her from sleepwalking ).

I don't know if either of these are connected to what the rabbit wants, or if they are just random.

Uhh... Welll... The rabbit is famous for having a pocket watch, maybe it needs a new bell for an alert? He IS always complaining about being late...

Nah, jk. My guess is that he'll give us a hint later; for example, he mentioned telling her where in the first post (right?) even though the clue for that didn't come till later.

New post from Mr. Rabbit with a poem.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Beware of he who took them–he goes b y many names.
The Bogeyman, the Shadowed One, but all are he, the same.
For every sin a child has, must be a punishment to bear.
Your friends are now beyond our r each; trapped deep within his lair
And if they take what is not t heirs, there can be no doubt.
He'll stretch their sk in until it snaps, and all the blood drains out.

A quick google search brings up one big thing. Pyramid Head from Silent Hill. Usually the character the symoblizes the main character's guilt among other things. Another reference it would seem.

That does sound like a reference to Pyramid Head. In Silent Hill 5, he's even called Bogeyman. In the mythology of the games, he's supposed to represent judgment. Other names for Pyramid Head include The Red God and Xuchilbara.

Something tells me the arrangement of the separated words in the poem are important, but I can't see what it is. Then again I did just get up five minutes ago, so, y'know, brain no worky yet.

It is possible the spacing of words corresponds with the date, since that is what the White Rabbit's post was originally intended for. But how we associate these with numbers/dates, I have no idea.

Looks like I've missed a bit, but I read the new posts. The map looks right to me, mute.

As for the date...if you number the letters that are separated, you get
b - 2
r - 18
t - 20
sk - 19,11

There seem to be too many numbers to make a date...but if you consider that the rabbit may have had "sk" set aside just so he could reach the "k", then the "s" becomes irrelevant, and...
2, 18, 20, 11

February 18th, 2011?

Oddly, 2+18 = 20, then there's a 20, then 19+11 = 40...which is another two "20"s. Don't know if it'll be relevant?

Thoughts, anyone?
