Location? Where does "Season One" take place? I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong spot, or if it was already posted somewhere else, I'm new to MH and to this forum as well. However, after doing a bit of lurking on the orignal trailhead thread, one of the members said he was going out to the tower, which I assume means that a location has been decided upon. I'm greatly interested in knowing where this takes place.

That's a relief. For awhile there I was starting to think it was taking place in my state, I guess that's one of the side effects of watching these videos though. Could I also trouble you by asking what it was that gave away the location? Thank you so much for your information.

That's a good question, ktron. In EverymanHYBRID, Steph "The Damsel" is supposed to be from Alabama too (although she left when she was a kid, supposedly). Likewise, Milo Asher from TribeTwelve is from there, yet has no accent. Make of that what you will.

Actually, it's not hard to fake an accent after a bit of training, especially accents from places like Alabama or Britain.
Now, New York or Finland, those are the difficult ones

In all reality, there are very few people that ACTUALLY have the stereotypical southern accent. Most are very slight or not there at all.

I'm from Texas, and i don't have much of an accent at all, we think its weird when someone does. I'd find it too corny if people had accents, too fake

I live in northern Alabama (the locations are all in central Alabama, so I'm about 1.5-2 hours away from them), and I can tell you that there are very few people who do have the accent you're thinking of. And it's mostly older housewives that do.

I live really close to southern Alabama and I don't have much of an accent either.

Fuck, I probably have more of that sort of an accent than they do and I'm not even from the states, let alone Alabama. Pretty sure that's all just stereotyping.
