Don't know how relevant this might be, but Arthur C. Clark ran a series on various unexplained phenomena back in the 80s. Three series in fact.

These things I'm grasping ? Straws.

Authur Unexplained

There are various sources for Arthur's superman like abilities.

"The twelfth battle was on Badon Hill and in it nine hundred and sixty men fell in one day, from a single charge of Arthur's, and no-one lay them low save he alone.": It was at the Battle of Mount Badon that tradition says the Saxon advance into Britain was finally halted. It was Arthur's greatest victory and, not surprisingly, there are many claimants for its location." Quote from: 12 Battles

I'm just wondering whether he had a little extra help. I believe druids still existed during this period not much is known about them. Unless of course you believe the Merlin myths. And to think that the Saxon advance was completely halted for some sixty years, what scared them so much that they wouldn't return for another generation or so, you've got wonder?!? Was Excalibur really a sword, perhaps it was a name for something else, something deadly that the druids had access to...something to scare the Saxons with.

I'm wondering if "Juno Reactor" is relevant info here. In the game Final Fantasy 7, Juno Reactors were huge power stations which extracted energy from the earth. Their over use resulted in global destruction. Actually now that I think about it, they were called Mako reactors, although I'm sure one of them was located in a town called Juno.

I've created a wiki here: http://missingwallace.wikispaces.com/

feel free to add to it and/or make it look nice. The Characters section needs completing, would be good to collate all the updates from Wallace / Style / Louise / Leamas

From the "12 battles" article linked by GJJ:

Quote:
It was at the Battle of Mount Badon that tradition says the Saxon advance into Britain was finally halted. It was Arthur's greatest victory and, not surprisingly, there are many claimants for its location. Forts are preferred since Gildas, in his De Excidio Britanniae", more properly called the battle a "siege" and nearby Rivers Avon strengthen claims. Possibilities include Bowden Hill, Lothian; Dumbarton Rock, Strathclyde; Mynydd Baedan, Glamorgan; Little Solway Hill, Somerset; or Brent Knoll, Somerset. Modern theory, however, suggests one of the many Badburys around the country: in Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. Liddington Castle, near Badbury in Wiltshire, seems most popular at present. Welsh tradition backed up by Geoffrey of Monmouth is, however, almost certainly correct in identifying the battle site with Bath, Caer Baddon, or, at least somewhere in its vicinity. Bathampton Down has been suggested.

Badbury is only one letter shy of Banbury.

Liddington Castle as mentioned above stands very close to the Ridgeway: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liddington_Castle

Do we actually know who this G J Jones character is? He keeps showing up in clues.

Christ alive Thunderwolf - we need to get you a cape or something, you've just came in and solved the puzzles we've been puzzlin' over for ages!

Apologies for dropping out of this of late, work + blog + life + family = no puzzlin'.

Btw, as soon as you said Argon my mind went back to Vanessa Atalanta Very Happy. It would be weird if this was from that PM, and we just hadn't realised yet. I'm sure its not though.

Gj peeps.

All the world is just code to me, Distilled Wink

New Bob Upload today, checking it out now.

So we have a text file called chwech.txt
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(six in welsh)

which says

Quote:
Running a film backwards gives the illusion that the future returns to the past. I however believe that time is not fixed like a train on tracks. Demostrating this theory however is difficult at best though not impossible with the advent of ultra-accurate timepieces. Discerning the speed of space-time is best left to an independant timing device. 'Long is the way...' Milton said, however this is purely because of humanity's inability to observe outside of time. Everything would probably appear to happen all at once from this perceptive, of course you will run into the similar puzzle of paradoxes which could be solved with the mobius strip theory.

and a youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzrKI7b4EzE&feature=related
Ice 9 Music - Heaven Or Hell

And an archive called "grog.7z"
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Suspension in welsh

Which has a password on it.

David Lynch was a specialist in moebius strip themes in his movies, not sure whether that's relevant.

edit: also found this while digging around on the internet:

Quote:
In a book series written by Brian Lumley, The Necroscope Dr. Mobius, being but a spirit in the 20th century, continued his calculations, and his studies even after death. after all, what would a spirit do in death, but what they had so fervently pursued in life. Mobius developed the theory of the Mobius Continuum, the point where time and space converged. The mobius continuum has no beginning, and no end, and is the dimensional door to all that once was and all that will be, it is beyond the physical, beyond the mental, and it is the summation of all existence.

Edit: The full quote from Milton's Paradise Lost as mentioned in the file is:

Quote:
"Long is the way And hard, that out of Hell leads up to light"

Edit: not sure if this is being hinted at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unexpected_hanging_paradox

@distilled: Yaha, Argon & the VA ARG remain happily intertwined. Also Wallace says this topic may be of interest for us:

Wallace wrote:
The Anvil, Hammer and Fork is interesting. Perhaps they are pict symbols round the time of Boudicca I think, might be worth a look.

Stumped on the PW and my guesses were around time being fluid/liquid so I changed hats and Googled this Pict Stones Symbols info, which is interesting and seems it's a tuning fork.

also got this from wallace:

Wallace wrote:
Excellent work, though I'm not sure telling Drake that I have a sound file
mentioning his name which may come from the future is likely to make him
crack. More like I'm nuts.

Something more in his field of ancient Britian, something that lets him
know, I know his secrets. Hopefully something to do with Wright, Arthur
and Boudicca. Nobody has sent me anything regarding this, I'd hate to
have bluff Drake and end up with egg on my face.
Have you spoken to Style yet? It is obvious from his phone call to me that
he is growing impatient. Give him something anything, slow him down we
don't want him doing anything bad...Bob's references to changing the
future are beginning to worry me greatly although I admit the messages
from Denton are just as worrying.

This is all very scifi in the real world, is it the beginning of the end?

The case is definitely having an effect on me.

Wallace.

What have we actually told wallace about the Boudicca Blurbs / Arthur Unexplained and Cpl. Wright?
