Hmm. This is all very good. Yeah, I agree we probably have no semblance of control over things at this point, but we can pick and choose what we pester them about. You all have come up with great ideas, as to the Corenthal letters especially, and I want to add again let's not forget about Alex. His favoriting on youtube lately suggests we shouldn't ignore him. I think someone had contacted him via email before, when asking why he entered the trials- maybe we can just inquire about how he's doing, and maybe mention we're still concerned about him to the guys.
For now, I think it's safe to say that Corenthal is the hot subject, and while it's pretty much information-based as far as what can be done, it still spells danger.
That's by the way what I meant by the score of Slender Man versus the world- Slendy has a perfect record, so I don't know how much survival I'm expecting here. For now we can just try to suggest safety. That's all.

Pretty much exactly what my thoughts were. That's not just ironic, it's geniusly terrifying.

On a side note, I could send out a personal ad looking for a sugar momma and say I'm a recent widower and have a thing for creepy doctor's wives and hope for the best. I'm sure Ms. Corenthal would be more than open to the idea and I'd get some answers!

Also, has anyone suggested that the woman saying "goodnight" is indeed Ms. Corenthal saying goodnight to her kids many years ago (or creepier would be it's her but it's our crew)? The staircase shown I don't think actually is Jeff and Alex's though. I'd have to go back and check to be sure.

What happens if we try to get Alex to watch the hidden video from CoffeeCollie?

Alone?

That is a huge gamble which could kill him off, if he's more involved than we know.

Aside from the obvious dangers we can't possibly put him in, frankly, I'm betting the guys would also be SUPER pissed that we even suggested it. Hah.
But come to think of it, we never explicitly were told whether Alex can see them or not. Obviously, we are assuming he cannot, but that in itself suggests a deeper involvement than we have been affording him.

I agree, but if we know that we can't help them in the end, and every single ARG doing this SM idea has an ending where everyone dies, things will get boring very quickly as players get frustrated with the idea. The trick for all of these groups who have decided to tackle this concept is to make their endings unique and memorable. I'm all for things not turning out all rosey for everyone and love when the badguy wins in a horror movie, but to see it all the time will take away from the magic. Even Jason Vorhees gets his come-uppance eventually, he just comes back for more.

I didn't necessarily mean I think everyone is going to die.

I wasn't specifically referring to your comment or EMH, just making a general statement about all the SM Arg's and stories.

Well, yeah, I don't want them tuning us out or Alex hurt.

I guess we should go with the email idea I suggested. That's my 2c anyway. Tell them everything the dialogue correlates to with the letters, and then maybe attach a pic of the toy soldier which the letters info should cover. And send a copy to Jeff and a copy to Steph at her tumblr.

"Sparky! Turn the computer on... good girl! Now click play! Okay, watch the computer! Not us, no, the laptop. Good girl! Hey, what's that moving in the corner of the screen? FUCK, NO, RUN SPARKY"

This is my envisioning of what would happen, at least.

Very interesting thought there. He is not one of the Centralia 4 so theoretically he could see the footage and he is close enough to them that they would trust him to tell them instead of dismissing him as a troll.

For obvious reasons this would do nothing! I mean come on now guise, Sparky's the one who filmed the hidden videos and is pulling the strings here!

And it's been suggested before, but I'm not sure if it's been done - maybe summarizing/transcribing some or all of the hidden videos in text and seeing if they can at least read and comprehend those synopses. But that's in addition to the letter I already suggested.

Specifically, I'm thinking we may want to add one addendum to anything that is sent to Steph, and perhaps not to Jeff's copy of our letter - a description of the HABIT incident in the kitchen, which none of them can remember. I'm not sure Jeff needs to know about that yet. But someone fucking should.

Someone already mentioned the HABIT incident in the kitchen to Jeff, and he said he didn't remember anything of the sort.

Call me crazy, but I think it's starting to get a bit stale, the whole "I don't remember" or "I can't see" excuse. It gives us the illusion that we can suggest things to advance the plot, but they're really just railroading us in a subtle way.
