Aces Delta, checking in.

Most of what I've been up to has been a mixture of "idly seeking answers" along with "getting distracted by other things outside of the internet".

I, too, received the email you'd mentioned. In fact, I was quite pleased to have gotten it. Random event emails certainly make my day.

At any rate, I wrote a reply or two. We've been having light conversation, but nothing particularly plot-relevant information has come up yet.

I also realize that I've failed to update you on the exchange with Kazutaka(k_tamuraSPLAThush.ai).

Well, Kazutaka told me about the Order. The original one that wasn't the split-off that Adrian is apparently heading. They're apparently fairly good intentioned. They want to take care of the kami's incarnation and gently show him the human experience, apparently, hoping that with a little education in what it's like to be human, his negative aspect will lower the suicide rates in the forest of Aokigahara. As opposed to the divergent cult that wants to beat down on the incarnation to teach it the pains of human suffering the hard way and who have, apparently, already caused a lot of damage to the incarnation as a result. According to Kazutaka, the Order also meditates on trying to reduce the amount of negative energy worldwide, to try to reduce global suicide rates.

And yeah, that's about all I have.

I really hate to double-post, but apparently this thread needs to be bumped back up. I really hope that I'm not the only one left who still has interest in this.

Adrian is looking for Kyoko - since Gavin apparently had the positive aspect of the kami, and he committed suicide, he figures that Kyoko's unborn child might carry the positive aspect of the kami.

What do we do now, guys?

The site has been updated. See for yourself, there is a note about suicides connected to the book 'Alice in Wonderland' and a new bizzare music theme.

I'm utterly perplexed by the new riddle. Which, uh, I'll just put it in the Spoiler tags.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Three is the number of those who do holy work

Two is the number of those who do lover's work

One is the number of those who do perfect evil or perfect good.

Annnnd...Since I'm still pretty new to all this, I'll drop my personal thoughts in Spoiler tags, too.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Is it just me, or is it referencing six individuals? A group of three, a group of two, and one lone individual?

As for the music, I took the song on the main page and reversed it. It sounds much nicer in reverse, actually. I just have no clue what the heck the song is. I'll put it up on MediaFire if anyone wants to aid me in a game of "Name That Tune".

EDIT: Nevermind, I now feel like an idiot. I was playing the song that was reversed in Winamp, trying to think of what it was....Only to look at the title and see Winamp reveal my answer to me. It's actually

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Lavender Town's theme. Yes, from one of the Pokemon games. I fail. I fail so hard.

And finally, about the theme on The Looking Glass page.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's probably old news, but the filename is 1.15-Stoneship-Age-Above-Stoneship-telescope-theme-.mp3 I just figured I'd mention it.

Also, does anyone have any idea what the new background might mean?/Anyone want to brainstorm on that?

I honestly don't like the way the PM is doing things. It's like 'Vague Allusions: The Game', no offence. It was quite fun for a while, but now it seems to be stuck, I'm not sure what we're supposed to do at the moment. Well, we have that 'we are they' thing, but who are 'they'? Supposedly we are to find out. Perhaps we'd better email Zack or David, what do you think?

David did say that he wasn't going to be answering any further emails from 'us', the 'people involved in the Zack Arima investigation'. I'll give it a shot, see if he actually will bother to reply back.

Do you happen to know what Zack's current email is? I'll also sling something that way, see if anything comes up. Unless you want to?

And yeah, I know what you mean. It sorta figures somehow that I'd get interested in one of the really tough games as my introduction to this genre of gaming. XD

Update! Sort-of.

I just got an email response back from Kazutaka. It's not much, but it's certainly interesting.

I'm afraid I'm at a bit of a loss. It sounds almost like the
entity's influence may have spread to Minneapolis, but the
connecting thread of Alice in Wonderland references make it sound
contrived and more man-made than supernatural. At any rate, I
sincerely hope you and everyone related to your search is staying
safe.

Kazutaka

I think the note about the Alice in Wonderland references making it sound "contrived and more man-made than supernatural" is probably a hint.

Though, I'm still perplexed by that whole bit regarding the split-off cult that Adrian's leading being about showing the Kami the human experience by being violent towards him, and yet Adrian claiming that he's the Kami's negative aspect. Though, if Adrian is behind the incidents in Minneapolis, which the Alice in Wonderland themes would suggest, then this would imply that there's someone else at play who really is the Kami? I think?

Man, this is complicated. XD;

I love this game dearly, but I'm really confused.

hi,
i haven't been playing along in this story at all, so i have no idea where these pages are. I'd love to listen to that audio (assuming it is what I think it is).
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Stoneship Age come from the original MYST game
and I'd be happy to look at the new background with you, whereever it is. I might not do more than lurk, but could someone post a few links for latecomers? thanks

I'll also list the emails for contacting that I know of.

redknightSPLATcollector.org - David(Not sure if it still works/he said he wouldn't answer any more of our emails)

k_tamuraSPLAThush.ai - Kazutaka, who I believe is a member of the actual Order(not to be confused with the offshoot branch that Adrian started)

a_sunderlandSPLATasia.com - Adrian. He's the leader of the Wonderland theme laden cult, and apparently is(or believes himself to be) the incarnation of the kami of Aokigahara Forest's negative aspect.

If there is a current way to contact Zack Arima, I have no clue how to do so at this point in time.

EDIT: I also want to say that this thread getting active interest again makes me all giddy and hopeful that there's still life in this game yet. Which, of course, is great news to me since I love this game to pieces and would hate to see it fizzle out prematurely.

Man, I really need to stop double-posting in this thread. But, updates need to be bumped up, right?

Adrian's just leaving Minneapolis now. I asked him about the Wonderland thing. I did not think to ask where he was headed.

I also notified Kazutaka. I'm awaiting replies from both of them.

The first one links us to Silesian University of Technology's department of Material Science and Metallurgy website (it's in Poland) and the other one to the page dedicated to Greek marble industry. Both seem to be legit.

The actual links you got in your mail are http://marmaronet.gr/images/fr.php which redirects to some obscure website, tabletprescriptiondrugstorepharmacy.com - won't load for me; and http://wimim.polsl.net/images/adm.php. The second one is also a redirect and it sends you to drugstoremedspharmacytech.net which is unreachable as well.

On the other hand, http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ reports that both pages are up.

I also checked who.is on them, but got nothing interesting. You are free to see for yourself though, in case I missed something.

Having those redirects on legit webpages is quite strange, but what do we make of it?
