don't hate me for bringing this up again

@JBV Yeah, the documentary only had little bits here and there about Nomi as an other worldly being. I was kinda disappointed, but it being so interesting in other ways made up for that. Anyway, how Nomi fits in (in my opinion anyway) is Hats using pop-culture references to tell us something about his situation like the asimov novels. Nomi, in his song choices, talks about the apocalypse, death, and resurrection/reanimation (factoid:the za bakdaz album booklet has red and blue letters highlighted in the song listing that spell out resurrection and reanimation). The ending of the flavian video suggests some kind of disaster aswell.

Who's sending the videos and pages to him? Is the Hs from the future trying to warn the Hs of the present about this and get him (or us) to stop it?

About the artist in the friend gallery I don't think there is any way to find out who they are unless they come forward (assuming it isn't some weird Hs tricksy puzzle).

Anyway I've been a ponderin' about this.

You'll know when
You'll know what if (it?)

The only thing I can think of is it will be something obvious like a new person in youtube videos or he is hinting at the only thing I may have hit a nerve with before, Jupiter's opposition. Saturn is going to be at opposition (the closest it will be for the year) on April 3rd.

@knucklehead you seem to be the best person to ask if there's anything interesting with the constellations brought up so far and the opposition.

Facebook - Ally Bucket hunch

He's mentioned 'ally' a couple of times now.

My hunch is that we have to work out the login username/email address and password for the Ally Bucket Facebook account, in a similar fashion to the live.com account from a few months ago, and there'll be further clues in there. Or something.

Hey guys. I was just introduced to Hatshoe a few weeks ago and I'm blown away by the whole thing.
I emailed him an introductory message and he responded pretty quickly. I immediately emailed him back, but I haven't heard from him in 17 days which seems a bit long.
I know it's been mentioned a couple times that Hats might check this forum, and it got me thinking: Maybe he's not writing back because I'm not "sharing" with you guys yet. Maybe he doesn't want to send me anything important because he thinks it will get "lost".
Also, and this is very unlikely, but maybe I'm the ally he was referring to? Like his next puzzle needs a certain amount of participants and he's making sure I'm in contact with you guys before he begins?
I hope that doesn't come off as self-important at all.
Anyway, here's all I've got so far:

ME:

(this was actually an image of printed text named newfriend.jpg that read as follows:)
Hello!
My friend recently introduced me to your site.
I have so many questions and would be honored if you could take the time to answer a few of them.
But first, what is your name so I know how to address you?

HS:
Quote:
Another friend!
Coffee?

Then I sent him the image at the bottom.

And that's it so far.

Have been lurking on this one for some time, decided to email him asking whether ever had an out of body experience this is the reply:

Quote:
I tried for a while
Then one night after I had stopped, I came close
I fell through the floor and screamed at my mind
While trying to tell a friend what was happening
I have not had a genuine experience
I've only come marginally close
Have you?

Curious but lacking...

Nesting

Okay...so here's what happened last night/today...

Schteevo sent HS an image (see two posts ago) and hadn't heard back from him. So he posted it on the forum.

Knucklehead liked the idea and seconded it by sending HS this:

I liked that, so I sent HS this:

GoingUp liked that so sent HS this:

HS evidently liked all that so sent each one of us this:

A couple thoughts on all this:

-This is the second actual photo ever from HS (the first being a small picture of the "mark" on his arm) which is kinda neat.

- It was actually a pretty cool move on his part. I actually kinda feel like an "ally" now as opposed to a Don Knottsish lifeguard stumbling around, hitting himself in the face with the life preserver.

-There is something undeniably creepy about the image.

-b/c adjust reveals almost nothing...he probably upped the contrast and black levels when he resized it to send. You can kinda make out a rectangular shape that i at first thought was a powered-down monitor because of the light reflections, but it continues way too far to the left. Unless, of course, he has a 2.35:1 Cinemascope monitor...which I would doubt somehow.
Another interpretation would be that he's not actually holding up the paper (it does look remarkably flat) but instead, has laid it on a a glossy black coffee table, stood over it and shot straight down - holding the cup sideways in front of the camera. If this is the case, the reflections are probably overhead fluorescent lighting, which sucks for him. Does any of this matter? Absolutely not.

-HS responded to us within 6 hours of GoingUp sending the fourth nested image. Working in teams may actually elicit faster response times...or he just wanted us to stop.

-Interestingly enough, the index paper appears just as it does currently on the site. Here's what this means to me: There is not some "master page" that he has photoshopped and slowly reveals more of. Every time he posts a new entry, he physically writes the name of the entry on the paper, re-scans it, and re-uploads it as the index. This could mean that he's not withholding entries from us, waiting for the right time to post them...it could mean that they haven't been written yet. He may post them as he finishes them. The reason I find this intriguing is it would mean that new entries, as they are written and posted in real time, could conceivably contain information directly based on / influenced by our correspondence with him. Something to think about, I guess.

Anyway...yeah. That's probably more than should ever be said about a picture of a piece of paper. Whatever...I'm having fun. Thanks guys.

Sorry for the double post...wanted to address some things from the week I wasn't really around.

@fzugua - is it just me or does that bear have a bitchin mustache? Did you respond to it yet? I would have no idea how to besides sending this link: http://www.nydailynews.com/lifestyle/pets/2010/07/27/2010-07-27_hungry_black_bear_crashes_car_in_pursuit_of_peanut_butter_sandwich.html which I'm sure wouldn't be productive, but whatever.

@juiceboxvomit - i agree that it seems unlike HS to post his own fan art. if you have any ideas on how to find the person beyond what I'm about to do, lemmie know.

Dear person whose art has been recently added to the Hatshoe Friend Gallery -
If you're reading this, please post here. We have many questions for you.
We are nice people.
Thanks.

@Jane4eva - welcome back! do you have any correspondence with HS from last year that never got posted on the forums? cuz we'd love to see it. you never know what might make sense now.

@GoingUp - what do you think about this? am i nuts?

Got a reply this morning, I told him that He can include me in his ally bucket and that He should tell me about his enemy(ies) because they are now shared.

His reply was

Quote:
I wish I could tell you more

They are secretive

I sent an email to HS asking about the shape of his index.

He responded with:
Quote:
Probably similar to a tecturn

The only thing I've found a "tecturn" being is a web handling system. I doubt that's what he's referring to.

@airportdisco I've posted all my correspondence with HS here at one point or another. Really the only thing somewhat helpful were my first few emails, here.

@airportdisco You are definitely not crazy, there seems to be a similarity there.

@fzugua Thats an interesting idea, I just assumed it was hs switching it up from calling people friend.

@Seadevil4, thisone your guys' responses are almost bizarrely frank for Hs. I'm looking forward to more from the OBE conversation.

@Jane4eva perhaps he means this: http://youtu.be/6pZpQPXm9lg

A tecturn could also be what the physical index page is resting on in the coffee photo.

Intro and Findings

Hello all, my wife n I were introduced to Hatshoe yesterday and have done little more than researching and reading this forum since. I also just joined the wiki and updated the pages that were missing their hidden html messages.

While I'm still playing catch-up with all your findings, I thought I'd share what we'd found through Ally Bucket (forgive me if you know this already, but I didn't see anything on it when reading the last few pages).

Checking through Ally's only listed friend David Hurse's friend list we found he had mutliple friends named (and variants of) Clide Underhill, two Bob Underhills, Hugery Underhill, Shoot Underhill, and Clindy Underhill (which could be another variant). Some of them are set to private while others are simply blank.

There is also a Clide Underhill and a Clider Bob which share Ally's profile image, while "Cclide" has an image of a wall.

I don't know what it means, but hopefully it helps out.

Tectura testudinalis

Hello All, me and my brothers have been sending some messages to hatshoe for just over a week. No questions, just pieces of greetings to him. This morning's message from me, included the attached image of limpets, (which are taxonomically related to 'Tectura testudinalis'). Maybe quite unrelated to Jane's tecturn. Dunno.

did anybody ever get the live.com username and pass? if the live.com thing was an email maybe you can use it to log into facebook?

In prospector the writing underneath seems different. all i can make out is 3rd line 2nd word block on looks like "natural resources and" and at the end of that line i can see "p of" so I assume group of like above but recycling enthusiasts doesn't seem to fit after.

Probably nothing but that's what I can make out.
