If this is in-game, I lose respect for this series. The production is shoddy, he's clearly using Windows Movie Maker, it's just so kitschy it's not even particularly puzzling. I'm hoping for a gamejack here, folks.

No, they wouldn't - to their IG characters, it's not a game, it's their life. And they would never break character just to deal with this.

on the off chance that TGF is IG now, I want to look at the message he posted here with RIP. Crazy unfounded spec, two sets of initials. We know of one EMH related death by the name of Daniel so that could be the set starting with D. That leaves us with an A which would mean Alex is next possibly?

Yes that makes perfect sense, everyone controlled by Slender Man or HABIT has the funds to produce quality footage and editing, because they are just so picky like that.

As for Daniel, when did he die? I know RYAN died, but

Daniel?

I am as confused by the Greenfeathers videos as anybody else. As was mentioned, the production values don't seem up to EMH snuff, and the title of the first off-kilter video suggests he was trying to say, well, that his video experiments are completely unrelated.

On the other hand, if IG Greenfeathers was possessed by HABIT or whatever, it makes sense that he'd only have access to whatever gear Greenfeathers has, and depending on the nature of the possession he might be limited by whatever talents and skills GF had developed independently.

But what interests me is the allusion in the latest video that I don't think anyone has caught yet: One of Hitchcock's best-known films is also titled Vertigo, and it famously features a spiralling staircase in a lighthouse. GF's "Vertigo" also seems to be trying to suggest a "vertigo shot", made famous by Hitchcock in Vertigo.

Pretending for a minute that this is definitely IG, this could have some interesting implications. Vertigo is all about obsession, for one thing. It also features a possible (but ultimately faked) reincarnation, faked identity, spiritual possession, and a central location that the characters keep returning to.

So, still pretending that GF's "Vertigo" is in game, it could be a hint that (tree time!) Evan-possessed-by-HABIT has actually been HABIT-pretending-to-be-Evan all along. I'm not sure that would make any sense at all, though.[/i]

Playing on this theory, it could also mean that Evan is pretending to be HABIT and secretly plans to completely fuck over his friends.

About the only thing I haven't seen covered in (almost frightening) thoroughness, aside from the red boxcutter (red boxcutters are for lefties, by the way; regular ones are green), is the stuttering at the end of the video. Specifically it happens just as Evan finshes saying "Someone up there likes us".

Maybe a little signal from a certain svelte someone as to whom the boys should be thankful?

Interestingly, Vinnie is also left-handed.

Speaking of green cutty things, what's up with the razor on the desk just inside Alex's door? The camera seems to draw attention to it when Evan, Jeff, and Alex go into the room at the beginning of the new video, and Evan picks it up and holds it to the camera when he and Jeff return two days later. Is this a call-back to something I'm forgetting?

I think that Evan is making fun of Jeff and asking him if he wants to use the razor instead because Evan sees Jeff's boxcutter as next to useless.

That razor has been driving me crazy. I've convinced myself now that Evan was just joking around, but augh... my thoughts immediately leapt to Occam's razor the first time.

That's what I figured, about the stuttering. It's almost exactly the same as what happened at the very beginning of Self-Defense.

I don't think it's a call back, I think Evan is mocking Jeff's "weapon." He whispers "take this" or "use this," I can't recall which. Because he thinks that the razor is about as useful as the box cutter. He has a point.

Thanks, Rhi and 'angel. I can buy that, except it still bugs me that Alex gives it camera time when they first go into the room. Probably nothing, though.

...except that it looks like it's in the same place that Jeff left his boxcutter when they went into the room to investigate in "Alex", which again is probably nothing. But still. Urgh.

No problem. And yeah, I know how it is when little things just get stuck in your head and won't come loose like that. It's probably nothing big just Evan's sense of humor, like when they rescued Steph and Evan pointed at the firehose and made a crack about it.
