Transcription error on my part I'm sure, but translated message:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's a ROT-25:

THIS IS A SIMPLE SUBSTITUTIOL CODE BST I NEED TO KNOW THE RIGHT PEOPLE GET IL EF YOU CAN READ THIS EMAIL BAK WITH THESUBJECT LOKI

What it probably reads:
This is a simple substitution code but I need to know the right people get it. If you can read this email back with the subject Loki

Nope, definitely not just you, unless we're both making the same error when transcribing the text.

So I emailed back with that Subject and now we play the waiting game again.

Also,
Perhaps there's a code hidden in the code based on the errors?

Yeah, just cracked it and sent the reply, those few letters held me up a minute. I marked the mistakes down but I'd need more context if there was any sense to be made out of them. It's a start..

I got it too. I came to the same conclusion as you guys, but the mistakes seem fishy. They could be genuine mistakes, but it seems sort of an easy type of cipher to make mistakes in, especially if it was checked which you would have thought it was. Do you think that the incorrect letters are meant to be like that?

I replied.

I don't think it matters as long you follow what the code tells you.

Couple of things, watched the trailer again, and in the scene where the guy gets popped on the bridge, I recognized the buildings in the background as being on the upper east side of Manhattan. More important I think, just before the hit, the vic gets a call on his cellphone, displays JAKO6ZLADD3R (Jacob's Ladder?). Could that be the crypto key? Also here's the link to the location. (see the picture with the water tower)

Well noticed, i watched the video again and it definitely looks like that.
Jacob's Ladder is something from the Bible, it's a ladder that leads to heaven, so could well be a clue.

Forgot I signed up for this. Just gpot the email too and replied. I tried ROTing the "mistake" letters, including the original ciphered ones (MTMG), the deciphered ones (LSLI) and the corrected deciphered ones (NUTI) but the only one that made sense was the last one which ROT-21's to "IPOD" - but I think that might just be coincidence.

Jacob's Ladder was also a film:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099871/

I use: http://www.mobilefish.com/services/rot13/rot13.php for all my rot codes, unless you are not good at typing or English it is pretty hard to make spelling mistakes and that is just one online tool.

jacob's ladder

wouldn't look for too much from the film of the same name, it was pretty disturbing, and the general consensus was even the director didn't know what he was trying to say

My email was entitled "Thank You!", from Meg Sarah Street, and contained an image attachement called "oddjobs_reply.jog" which had the odd jobs logo and the ciphertext in.

Also a curtain-shredding disclaimer at the bottom which reads "Note this email and website is for entertainment purposes only"
