I've spent most of the afternoon on google putting in random combos of clues (most of which probably are red herrings) and not come across anything of use yet :/

Fergus falls, the numbers on the map, ~mber 19 962, vitasrelic, trogl, missing dogs, the stuff on the inside of the moby dick book, D12 Confused

 		Well, perhaps they don't. Perhaps they cannot help us with ARG, because these pictures are frames from the movie (like, one of kids lost his dog, as one heartbreaking scene, or so).

I have sometimes a feeling, that the viral ad (with VITAS RELIC) was addressed to us, and this trailer was addressed to the main audience, who doesn't know about the ARG. In that interview of LA Times JJ said about lack of publicity for the movie (no merchandise, no games etc.). And he weirdly hasn't mentioned the ARG. So perhaps he is playing two projects: ones for us, and one for the rest. And actually he cares about the rest much more, which I fully understand and appreciate.

We are insider, who already are in. And the rest has to get information about the movie.

I was thinking the same thing, but then why bother putting the 3-dot logo on the corkboards that line up and the date?

 		The thing to keep in mind here is:

The movie, the kids, the train crash, images in camera lens - all 1979

The ARG - 2011

We're not going to see adult Josh or 2011 Mysterio in any of the 1979 footage from the trailers. The trailers and footage are going to give 1979 references to the train incident and the super film footage, but aren't going to point to anything 2011.

This is what I wondered in another thread. It seems like we ARGers are the only ones who would know to connect the dots. So it seems like the pics should have some meaning to us. But who knows?

 		Yes, that's right. The dots are pretty streight direction to our ARG.

Wow, I didn't even see a mouth the first time. It does resemble a mouth. I thought it looked like rope or some kind of braided line. Still not sure what the rope is connected to? Looks like the back of that things head from Goonies. What was his name, Lars? Haha!


To me it looks like an overlook over the train, with the "crossing pole" to the left. And, yes, I must admit it looks like the lower part of a jaw Very Happy

Could this be the flamethrower guy in the trailer as seen from the front> Looks a bit like a helmeted guy in a suit with the bright light in front of him being the flamethrower and perhaps those are the arms of some creature reaching for him?

I can maybe try to see a mouth, but I still think its a rope tied to a piece of iron or steel.

 		Okay I do not know if it means anything but looking at the new trailer, I do not see anyone in there who is African American. These are the whitest people in America in the movie. Im starting to think Josh is not part of the movie at all. Or....the man in the picture is not Josh's dad.

It's the bicycles, that brief clip of the kids on their bikes solidly implanted E.T. on anyone who didn't get it when they saw little kids and Spielberg's name. I want to say it's intentional, that he put it there specifically to make us think about E.T.

 		Adding a quick note to say great job on the TV spot analysis and breakdown so far.

I've gotten way behind in the ARG due to the recent passing of a family member. It's so handy to return to uF and pour through all these documented updates and speculation in one sitting after being away for weeks. Fine work, all! Thanks.

More later if I can come up with any new theories to add.
