 Funny

You guys are so funny about things.... Very Happy Don't worry guys I have been giving away ARG stuff for a while now. I love the thrill of playing the game but after I get all this swag in the mail it sits in my room collecting dust and then my wife tells me to throw it away, Smile so I figure give it to someone who would really put some use into it. The next ARG's(not just Tron) that are coming with swag I will be giving away those too.

REnderinfo: Don't worry I counted all your questions..... In a contest people usually don't tell anyone why they weren't picked...It's a Contest.. Very Happy

Mlinsley, I thank you again for the contest and congratulate the winners. I think the issue that some of us may have is that it was not purely an objective contest (the non-fact questions that were asked), and as such, people question what they may have done 'wrong' in their entry.

One thing that has confused me is the number of people you said had answered the OS question correctly. I'm sure I did, renderinfo feels the same, but you had said only three of us had gotten it right (from memory, I'm mobile at the moment and can't review the prior posts). Others feel the answered it right as well. So I have some question about the narrowing down of the finalists in my mind.

I'm not upset at all, just slightly frustrated. I would agree that i would prefer contests that are left to trivia questions only, or just sending your name in and then leave it to luck of the draw.

My $.02 worth. Which is more than it is worth. Smile

Thanks PFloyd, I agree with your comments.

Thanks mlinsley for your reply. You are right, a contest is a contest, and I really appreciate you doing this. Looking forward to your next one!

So after reading through all of these comments people seem to be fixated on 1 thing. Guys he never said only 3 people got the operating system correct. He said he had narrowed it down to 3 entries from over 30 plus entries. Being as how the majority of us are die hard TRON fans the 2 objective questions were necessary as probably well over 90% of TRON fans would get those trivia questions correct. From there it's just a judgement call much like writing an essay to win a scholarship. If you don't win you just move on. Personally I'd like to see a little less complaining so that we don't deter others from holding swag give away contests in the future.

Didn't want to have to bring this up publicly

but has anyone heard from mlinsley? I was in correspondence with him through this board for a short while before he seemed to disappear like Kevin Flynn into the Grid.

I wanted to start up a new contest with the swag won and give shaved ape his 89 forever pin, and I thought my small digital pulse here would help reach him.

Whatever happens, I'm still grateful for the chance to play, and hopefully nothing to bad has happened to our fellow UFer.

Just curious. Are you saying that mlinsley hasn't (yet) shipped you your contest winnings?

He hasn't yet

I offered to foot him on shipping. I just want to see where he's at.
