Re: Anagram??? Actually I think that all the digits have corresponding letters:
0-O,1-I,2-Z,3-E,4-h,5-S,6-g,7-L,8-B,9-b
However I have tried to find meaningful anagrams based on the existing numbers and i can't. I think that we have to measure the values more precisely. For example I think that the BPM value is probably 249 and not exactly 250, based on some calculations I did in audacity.

Well, if you do "A" _______ "TCON" and add SOG (605 on a calculator upside down) and anagram it... you get "Go To Scan", or "To Scan Go" or something... whaddya'll think?

also, did anyone reverse the file, and could they upload to here so those of us without access to audio manipulation programs could hear?

I think they mention calculator on purpose.
If you turn the display of an electronic calculator upside-down, then some numbers resemble letters. For instance: 0 - O; 1 - I; 3 - E; 5 - S; 6 - g; 7 - L. But I can't think of such equivalence for the other digits.
So if we have 15|320|250| then the text is something like OS?|O?E|SI.
If the numbers are correct only '2' needs a corresponding letter - maybe Z???. Can the answer be an anagram of the letters OSZOZESI?
I think the word 'mess' in the text found in the file points towards my anagram hypothesis.
P.S. If this is obvious to you, I'm sorry. I just decided to share my thoughts.
If we let the 2's be N's that opens up more options
but i do like the sound of OZZIE SOS

2s I think that is a bit of a stretch as the 2 looks nothing like an "N" when turned upside down, sideways yes, but then everthing else would need to be sideways I would think.

The tone is 69 samples per cycle, plus or minus some small fraction. Given a sampling rate of 22,050 Hz, this gives a freqency of ~319.565 Hz. Call it 320 Hz. Good guess, Redknight--you sure you don't have a good ear?
The white noise appears to be ~15 seconds long, as mentioned.
The beats are 250 bpm, assuming that the time between them is in fact suppose to be 0.24 seconds. MP3 noise makes it hard to get that last .01 second of precision.
Total is 585.
That accurate enough for you all? I love Sound Forge.
Hmm... has anyone tried

585... going to SBS?
or something along those lines

Hz interpretation I'm new to the game so blast away if I'm totally wrong.
The part that reads Hz could mean the Hz of the song, which on the Winamp info window reads 22050Hz.
So it would be 15 + 22050 + 250 ( or 240 )
I get 22315 or 22305, but can't find a word there, maybe it's an anagram for some past clue or something.
[OT] Is there a place where I can get up to date on the clues and story? I've browsed the forums but it's mostly clues. Thanks...

Hi Gunslinger Gulp and welcome to Gateway.. the best place to start would probably be the Wiki - It's still in progress and is not complete by any means but there is a whole host of information there which should act as a good starting point and reference guide as you look through our topics.
I'm totally clueless on this Starry Eyed puzzle, so I won't be doing any blasting, but we did get something of a new clue for it in the Riddle topic .. it seems that maybe we are overlooking something obvious.

I attempted to remove the white noise and got this in its place listen its odd like old mainframes or something.
I think the white noise starts around 45 secs to save sometime

thank seq for the idea
if you reverse the song time of white is 2:50
250+22050+250 = 22550
i still don't know what to do with it

I was thinking about the last part of the equation. The part that says BPM probably refers to Beats Per Minute, like in heartbeats. On the image in the main page of the order there's something that resembles an EKG with the numbers 120 and 60 on it, as well as the word "reaper". I tried using these numbers in the equation but can't get a word. Maybe someone can figure that out...

[SPEC] solved in a way? So in the email they give the number 625, which takes you to a page that says congrats that the answer! (can be seen in the [keyword email] thread)
It works if you take the info from various sources :
time of white : 45s (start time not duration)
Hz : 340
BPM : 240
you do indeed get 625....
just a thought, that because we were barking up the wrong tree they gave it to us in a different manner.

That's great... I have been wondering about that clue for a week. I guess we were all looking for a word..
So I guess we're all done for now.. We got four commands coming...
I guess it's solved so can someone, or whoever created the topic, mark it as solved?
