Vitasrelic This whole "Vitasrelic" thing is confusing me a bit.
As far as I can tell, there is no latin (or english for that matter) word "vitas", but there is "Vita" -
Quote:
The correct plural form of vita is vitae, not vitas. The plural vitaeis sometimes incorrectly used as a singular, perhaps because it is thought to be a short form of curriculum vitae. In Latin vitae means "of life" or "lives" (plural).
http://encarta.msn.com/dictionary_1861734368/vita.html
Does that mean we are looking for Vita S Relic or Vita Srelic
Ignoring that for now, but Vita(s) seem to mean Life, account of life, biography, resume that kind of thing.
Only other usage of the word "Vitas" in in reference to a Russian singer.
For "Relic" its a bit more broad - Something left over from the past thats important, keepsake, "something from deceased holy person".
The first thing that jumps out at me that could link those two words is a skeleton. I know I'm probably just joining dots that are mainly in my head but I thought it may be worth sharing

there is 'vitas'' in the latin language.
it is the fourth case of plural. doesn't make much sense, though.

Thank you for opening this thread. I also think, this "Vitasrelic" thing was placed only for us, especially if this is really the SuperBowl commercial.
Anyway, I also think about Vita as the Hagiography, I mean, chronic alike biography of Saints or historic persons. But I couldn't find more about it till now.
Another thing is (and perhaps completely unrelated), I searched for anagrams for Vitasrelic. The first which came to my mind was "realistic v".
But then I used Anagram generator and found many more things like follwing (don't take them too seriously)
Quote:
Verticals I => well, "I" looks more Vertical, as an "_"
Visceral It => sounds like a splatter movie, not nice, not nice
Clear Visit => well, that's clear. They visited us
Racist Evil => that's really evil, and I hope we will defeat this world wide
Racist Live => really not nice
Lac Revisit => Lac as a Lake? I think about some Aliens coming back to Nessie
Civil Tears => Sounds dramatic, pretty Spielberg-alike, but not really JJ Abramesque
Viral Cites => virals, it's all about virals, my friends
It Lives Car Lives => That'd be new Transformer phrase.
There are actualy tons of it, (vitas relic) is among of it btw. But I am not really sure, whether it's really related.
Just check them out:

That's what I was wondering -- if there will be more in the full ad.
This is all pretty cool for people in Weirton. It's a steel town very close to Pittsburgh - so LOTS of Steelers fans. And to make it better - everyone is excited about the Super 8 trailer, hoping to see some of Lillian (Weirton) and maybe someone we know in it. Most of the people I know have been movie chasing, ARGing and/or playing fantasy football over the past few months, so this is like the great joining of all worlds for us. WE MUST PARTY!

Yeah, greetings to all people in Weirton!
I think, it will be soon Mekka for worldwide fans

the last set of scrolling letters started this whole thing (STIES) but the second lot seem to be getting ignored.. VITASRELIC its is probably one of the more important recent game elements.. i dont really have much to offer other than the obvious living fossil, coelacanths refrance etc.. you guys always solve everything.. and unfortunately no new letters came with the super bowl.. hmm

I've not forgotten!
Unfortunately at this time there are so many random bits of info that don't seem to mean anything yet.
As soon as any new clue comes up I've been searching and cross-referencing looking for some connection, but not found anything useful or in-game yet.
Shall just have to wait and see what the trailer-fairy brings today

Talking of anagrams I realised VITAS RELIC is a subset of letters in SCARIESTTHINGIEVERSAW, except for the L. I don't think there's anything to it though.

Cool little tool that shows what other websites are hosted on the same webserver as a site you type in.

Interesting results for HLM website.
I'm sure you'll spot it.
Might help in finding the next IG site.

maybe that's the name of the kid's zombie movie? Maybe it is "lives of the dead"?
