Vitasrelic is a pretty weird side of the story. Abrams gives us a name and shortly after, tons of picture to continue our journey.
Does Vitasrelic even mean something, or was it just to fill up the camera views at the end?
Anyway, it probably has a meaning. We need to focus on it and come with different possible solutions.
Man, ARG is stressful.

I have a funny feeling that there will be more letters to come.

Relic is the only english word and vitas is a very loose link to life.

In my vein of thinking, if it is a clue you would have to play with both words.

Maybe Vitas does link to life and relic, via a synonym, to something like trophy, remnant or artifact. Something like that.

It wouldn't surprise me if VITAS RELIC is the same government case name given to this incident just as CLOVERFIELD was in that story.

Central to the film, in its way, but not necessarily chock full of meaning on its own face value.

This hasn't been suggested yet: maybe it's Vita's Relic. Like, the Relic of Vita.

Vita has tons of pages in wikipedia. They're cities in Italy, Ukraine, India, Canada and Spain. None of them are related to the ARG though... Dunno

For vitas relic, I translated each word separately from English to Latin and back to English. Here's what I got:

vitas (Eng) to vitas (Lat) to the lives of (Eng)
and
relic (Eng) to reliquia (Lat) to 3 possibilities: survivors/ remnants/ remains (Eng)

(maybe the lives of survivors ?)

When I translated the words together I got

vitas relic (Eng) to reliquia vitas (Lat) to rest of his life (Eng)

Don't know if this has any meaning to the ARG - but figured I'd post it just in case.

Been lurking around for a while, haven't posted before. I thought now would be as good a time as any.

It has to have something to do with the coelacanth. I have seen it referred to as a "Living Fossil" on youtube, amongst other places and that is just too coincidental for it to not be intentional. Josh is/was looking for a coelacanth, coelacanth has been called a living fossil/relic. The blog postings on hooklineandminker have suggested (to me anyway) that in his search for the coelacanth, he has run into some sort of trouble.

At this stage it's all very chaotic and weird. There came up lots of different theories. That it's doesn't have a meaning at all, that it's a anagram, that we'll have to wait for more letters. I was thinking about a secret language, but with all those pictures daily, it's most likely that we'll have to wait for more letters. Pretty confusing.
