Not sure what other 'welcome' you were expecting, Zog? You presented a site and the first order of business was to check its origins against other known IG sites — and yours didn't seem to fit. Though it was sure worth looking into.

Okay, so it's an interesting idea and angle on such possibilities, but (so far) it doesn't seem to relate to the SUPER 8 ARG directly at all... which is what this particular forum focuses on. There's plenty of room for exploring such topics, they'll just be out of game (which is fine).

Unless a better, true direct link to the game can be shown with the site you reference, you might want to add [OOG] to the thread topic to continue discussion on the subject outside of the game in more general discussion terms. But it's hard to pursue any further for IG purposes unless a new connection is established to the game.

Meanwhile keep contributing and playing along — clearly you have the interest and aptitude for it! The more the merrier.

 		Zog << Please don't take offence, You and your Ideas are welcome here. I had only asked and do again, what led you to the idea. Being a Guest we have too look hard at where it is coming from. But, I was interested in the thought process. I had never heard of Intra - Terrestrial before, not even the term. The site is... w'hell who knows ... Interesting. How do/would we connect it.?

If you went through cloverfield - I wish I had, Just caught the end. You must have seen all the Game Jack attempts. I know with Star trek we had a few.

I got the idea from reading all the brilliant thoughts on this forum.
Caves etc and the fact JJ was nodding at ET etc, and I thought well, what the opposite? It was one thing leading onto the other and came up with Intra.
But looks to be a dead end. DOH!

What a strange website this thing is...

I noticed that there are a couple other pages involved with this site that I found through google...

Has another picture of the floppy disc, an image of the same wave on the disc, and more numbers, half of which look like times...

Has a matrix of numbers which, when you click on it, changes some of the numbers and orders...

 		also, under "page 2", a couple of the times are underlined... the first (3:17) leads you to this...

The other underlined number (3:45) leads to a "page not found" error...


Thinking this could be some kind of music or other media on the internet, I put Intraterrestrial in at youtube and got this weird little bit...

... which seems to have a clip from CE3K and some writings similar to stuff we've been talking about during this ARG...

"J. Allen Hynek's is not the only notable cameo in this film...

The order came from the Trogs that "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" be made, and Step-hen Spielberg(who like each person within the SYSTEM is used to taking orders) was the man to make it.
Not satisfied with the models, Step-hen organised an underground meeting to film one of the creatures he was presented with in a high initiation ceremony many years before. The candidate in such high ceremonies is left with the quite resoundingly profound and yet wholly incorrect impression that they have met an "Alien" or perhaps even "God".
Footage of this meeting made it into the final cut, and the Trog' in question is the one that appears on it's own, the one in this clip.
It's what the Media has mischeviously dubbed an "Extra-Terrestrial" in perfect double-speak. It's not an alien, indeed nor is it even from outer space, it's a genetically engineered cave-dwelling life-form from within the very Earth.
And it too, takes orders...

..cave dwelling troglodytes are INTRA TERRESTRIAL."

sounds kind of nuts and totally out of game, but interesting none-the-less...

Just because I felt the need to have a little closure (after all, it is a very strange site), whois on the webpage seems to indicate one Victor Swahn as the contact. The most likely Mr. Swahn that Google provides is the guitarist for a Swedish death metal band, Inception. Me thinks this was a failed or half-finished project of his.
