I kind of noticed that he looks like the dude that was following J in the woods in Entry #31. Resemblance at all?

Idk, it just doesn't look like Alex to me...

Well, the eyebrows are kind of specially Alex. They have that weird mountain thing on the outsides.

Also, I like the audio in this one. The rising low tones in the back with the steady mosquito whine above it. Like a symphony of discord.

I don't know what it could mean, it might be for both Jay and Jess regarding the sum of the effects of the "slendyickness." Or perhaps it means that Jay shouldn't try to riddle this out, because it can come to no complete solution. It can only result in his death, since he is already broken beyond repair.

OK, my interpretation of the video:

- It's a response to Jay, like all the TTA videos, so I think it is fair to assume that TTA is addressing Jay with this rather than sending a message to Alex.

- So, why the picture of Alex?

- We don't know what happened to Alex after entry 26. Let's face it - we already had theories that TTA might have been the one who sent that video rather than Alex, and even if Alex did send it, it's been 7 months. Anything could have happened to him in that time.

- My guess, then: this is most likely TTA's way of saying "something really terrible happened to Alex, and it's going to happen to you too if you keep trying to remember". Or, alternately: "We used Alex until we had completely broken him and was no use to us. You don't remember it, but we did the same to you. We're moving on and we've disposed of you in the hotel. Have fun completely failing to accomplish anything ever."

Some theorising:

- Alex got close to the heart of the mystery once. REAL CLOSE. We still don't know the results of his investigation but it really does appear that he managed to find some answers which Jay still hasn't uncovered.

- We also know, from the "everyone's gone" speech, that things got real grim for Alex at some point in his investigation.

- And yet, suddenly Alex reverted to a normal life. Jay doesn't remember anything bad happening to him, even though Alex does say "Jay's gone". Alex was happy, had a nice place, appeared to have someone living with him, it was all cool.

- Theory time: maybe Alex cut a deal. His friends would be restored to him, memories suitably tampered with, and he would be allowed to live out the rest of his life (perhaps after being subjected to similar tampering). In return, the dark forces required him to observe a few simple rules: don't watch the tapes, don't film people or allow yourself to be filmed, and absolutely, positively no wifin' in the club.

- If Alex really wanted the tapes burned, he could have done it himself. So why did he give them to Jay? Perhaps he wanted to see if Jay remembered anything. Perhaps he thought that, since Jay was so insistent on seeing them, Jay could pick up the investigation where Alex left off (Alex not realising how incomplete the tapes were). Either way, it seemed like a reasonable risk.

- Things went wrong when Alex's girlfriend/wife/sister/whatever found the camera and started filming. Alex got agitated because he knew that the dark powers would take him appearing on film as a breach of the rules. Sure enough, Slendy showed up and shit hit the fan.

- So, possibly this video is a sign that Alex has been punished for his infraction? And that perhaps Jay's own condition is a consequence of Alex's inadvertent breaking of the rules. Perhaps by working against the spirit of the deal by giving Jay the tapes, Alex gave the dark forces and their puppets a chance to get back at him by leaving the camera in his house for him or his gf to find.

Just two things:

1 The picture really doesn't look like alex to me. Maybe it's the smile, maybe it's the torn up bit, but I just can make myself believe it's the Kralie we all know and don't understand Razz

Maybe it's more of a metaphor. Pictures are often related to memories, correct? That being said, a picture (memory) of Alex? (Assuming that the man in the image IS Alex...) And a destroyed one at that. I'm thinking that it implies memories that are there, but torn up/out of order/mixmatched/etc.
The longer the video goes on, the more distorted the video becomes (in terms of the image and the audio) which maybe implies that the more J looks the more confused he'll be? I guess that's kind of a given, though.
I dunno, I'm totally just throwing stuff out there.

EDIT: 1102 is also 2011 backwards.

Calling it now: Jay killed Alex during his blackout period. Possibly by some method which destroyed Alex's nose, like shooting him in the face or something. End of this season (and possibly the series) is Jay discovering this and going insane.

The blinking is morse code, it comes out as this:

"MUST DIE EIEEEEEE SEE"

The "EIEEEEEE" bit could be a combination of some other letters, but it wouldn't fit the pattern breaks. It could be

1. EIHI
2. EISIE
3. EIHEE
4. EIESI

Or a handful of other possibles.
