This is an interesting theory, and it certainly explains how masky was still around for entry #33, but it doesn't really mesh with the fact that Alex yelled for the knife before grabbing the rock. If Alex wanted to break Tim's leg, he wouldn't have wanted the knife.
I think that Tim somehow managed to escape, and that the scream was a scream of fear, not pain. After all, Once Alex gets off of Tim's back to grab the rock, the only thing holding Tim was the rope around his upper body, he could've rolled out of the way of the blow and run, aided by the fact that Jay probably would've tried to stop Alex from chasing him.

Who would say "HE'S NOT GOING TO FOLLOW US" before attempting to kill somebody?

I don't think Tim was meaning to do any serious harm to Alex or Jay. I have, at the very least, a similar knife to what was in the entry. There's a bigger blade than what Tim was using. Sure, it doesn't do much damage either way, but if I was going to stab someone to death I wouldn't use the tiny one. It's next to my iPod for size reference.

Why would they go there with two different intentions?

I kind of think they'd have gone together thinking "Alright, let's go get Tim/Masky (depending on whether or not they knew it was him)". But their actual intentions were very different.

I had initially thought that Alex and J had been hunting for him and they both followed him to the hut, but that is ruined by J at the beginning saying that there is nothing there.

It's possible that Alex has seen the entries, whether he's been keeping up all along of if he just found out. The dialogue just doesn't make sense for them to have come there together. If Alex obviously knew something was there and told Jay to go in, Jay wouldn't have thrown a fit after 15 seconds and yelled "THERE'S NOTHING HEERRRRE!!!!!" at him.

By breaking their leg. Tim used to be their best friend, he's not going to just kill him.

I think Alex may have known that this is where Timasky's been chillin, and was doing some kind of stakeout. Upon seeing his old friend come in, he, after some debate, followed, and warned him that Timasky is there.

However, I do agree that they met up previously. Perhaps they split up after meeting up, and this is the cause for Alex's questioning tone. Either way I firmly believe they were working together beforehand at some point.

Well if 1:22 was anything, you can see a decent size mark on the back of Alex's arm.

Okay, maybe J is this awkward third wheel between Alex, J, and Timmasky?

Alex and Tim have some rivalry.

Tim realized J was not aware of any of the post-MH filming going on.
Tim puts on Mask to hide himself, and tries to discreetly give J info without revealing his identity to Alex, because he is scared Alex will kick his ass.

Alex makes an assumption that J knows what is going on, and makes his descisions based on the fact that he thinks J is fully aware of the stuff thats going on.

But that's EXACTLY what he would say if Alex told him there was something and he'd been to the house before and still didn't see anything!

Yes, it's perfectly plausible. JAy is frustrated because he's been to the house (maybe multiple times in previous tapes) and found nothing there. Alex asks him to go again, and Jay is frustrated because he knows THERE'S NOTHING THERE. So he screams at Alex. Alex sees MAsky and points him out. Jay and Alex get him.

What is hard to believe about that?

How does Alex know Timasky is hiding in that room? I mean... It seemed like Tim was expecting Alex, hence the knife. But why would Alex be expecting Tim?

I somehow find it hard to believe that Alex and Jay teamed up before this entry. It just doesn't... feel right, I dunno. I mean, this is (supposedly) only a few days after Entry #26 was posted, and Jay has been traveling all the time between 'then' and 'now'. That doesn't seem like it'd allow for a lot of time to get together and get things started. But I could be completely wrong.

I'm with the 'Alex smashed Tim's knee' theory. That would perfectly explain the limp we see in #33.

I'm never sleeping another day of my life ever.

Stab him in the leg? He didn't realize there was a giant ass rock there but he needed something to subdue Tim. He had a knife for sure, so he decided to use that instead.

And to the Tim screaming thing, why is it so hard to believe that's Tim screaming. That sounds exactly like a guy screaming in pain.

He was already tied up with cord and there were two people in the room. He wasn't going anywhere. Alex was acting in malice, I think that was meant to be made clear. And I respectfully disagree with you and everyone who think that sounds like a person screaming in pain. For one, it doesn't have a start. Secondly, they are screaming the whole entry, but that noise fucks with the cameras mic. Just listen to it a few times thinking about it not being Tim screaming.

I really think the graffiti is nothing to be studied. It was probably there long before the MH crew found it.
