My question is, if Alex and J were working together and the house was previously involved, what would Alex want J to 'see'?

IT WAS SO OBVIOUS!

When Alex comes in, a large ringing like something dropped can be heard. I think most people asssumed this was either alex or jay, but how could we be so stupid. IT WAS TIM. THAT'S WHY INSTANTLY AFTER THE SOUND OF THE THING DROPPING, ALEX TELLS JAY TO SHUSH.

YOu don't walk on it. Which is my point. I don't think Alex threw the rock at Tim's leg. If his leg was broken, it would have healed by the time entry 33 happened, and the limp would not have been caused by the rock.

Who's to say how close this is to Entry 33?

I'd say with a lot of certainty this is only a few days after 34, so being like late april that means. he shows obvious frustration, but not "i've been back here for 3 months" frustration.

i realize i guess there's no way to know how close it was and that this could be in the september part of the tapes, jay seems to be trying to go chronologically, so being near 34 and therefore being pretty far away from 33 makes the most sense.

Bullshit. I'm sorry, but if I had been risking life and limb and lost my home in a desperate attempt to find someone in an investigation which lasted for month after terrifying month, there is NO WAY IN HELL I would let them just shush me like that. Jay obeys the shush because he's already caught up with Alex and even though Alex may not have explained everything, Jay trusts him enough to follow his lead.

Yeah, I realized that the tapes were in chronological order after I posted it. It just seems that having the rock be the reason Tim is limping makes too much sense. Besides, who's to say that Tim even went to a doctor. He's certified crazy now. Without a doctor or the proper supplies, it would take longer to heal would it not?

Alex may have been hoping Jay would draw Masky out, so he could jump Masky whilst Masky was humping Jay. Or possibly he was covering the exits until he noticed where Masky was hiding.
