Yes, without "the," the context has shifted considerably.

Well, "Shade" could be any number of things.

Slender Man, HABIT, even the rake. We're the only ones who call it Rake, after all.

Looks like SkyLarkin ID'ed the hat... it's Alex's. He was wearing it in "Business Cards On A Plane."

What does it mean that HABIT stole Alex's hat?!? Is this confirmation that the Rake (who would have had access to it inside Alex's room) is definitely working for HABIT?

Well, now that TNC's got his prize (speaking of which, ASDFASDLJ <3 I WAS NOT PREPARED), I wonder if HABIT plans on announcing the winner of this previous round?

Why would it prove that? If HABIT is Evan, he clearly had access. Also, can we find the hat in any other videos besides Business Cards?

[EMH]Box 4

I took several photographs of the box, upon request. Here they are.

Appears to be a stress fracture stretching from that puncture mark.

"HABIT"

"Smile"

"Kill" [?]

Strange, waxy substance. Tree sap? Glue?

"#098"
You can see four arrows pointing towards the center of the box. EMH logo?

Maybe the Rake stole it while occupying Alex's room, and gave it to Habit to mail out?

The hat appears again in "Good things to come" and he's wearing a darker version in the first vid.

The Rake is HABIT and/or SM's catspaw/helper monkey. I'm pretty sure that's definite.

I am not convinced the message does not read "shade's THE password to." The "the" may be on a missing fragment of the msg. Unless I'm looking at it wrong.

Another thing, I'm a bit confused about here. Was talking to Dixie about it in Angora.

The letter specifies that the children were transported 300 miles east. And they were, as Alliance, Ohio, and Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, are 342 miles apart by car. (At least in 2011.)

However, it also makes mention of being "just across the border" into Pennsylvania. Mt. Pocono is close to a bordering state...just not Ohio. That state would be New Jersey.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong here. But that seemed a little odd to me.

Maybe by 1975 the Corenthals had already left Ohio and moved to New Jersey, to be near the rest of Corenthal's family? I don't recall if any of the later letters specified a location.

That's the thing, though. The letter clearly specifies "300 miles east", meaning Ohio is the primary location. I think.

I don't think there's a conflict: The snowstorm they waited out was just over the border into Pennsylvania, then, reaching Mount Pocono, they had another descend upon them.

You are, unfortunately. There is no "THE" on Jeff's piece, and Jeff's piece appears to be the top-right corner of the message, with mine being the top-left.

Oh, lord. Now we have to think about some motherfucker named Shade.

It's of course possible HABIT simply didn't know how to spell the name of acclaimed R&B singer Sade. She's behind it.

Been outta comission for a while but i've returned to this, and this i have returned to. (dept of redundancy dept_

TNC that is a pretty freakin sweet prize. also nice penguin pants.

rake is def a helper, as he was reffered to as a dog once was he not? in some sort of twitter thing?

my first though of 'shade' was baghead too, but I really doubt that baghead is shade (assuming shade is a person/entity). plus we haven't seen any more baghead, can we perhaps count it as one of those group 'relapse' things? or some sort of metaphor or? just like 'lol lets freak out and mislead the hybrids' sort of deal? my point being that i doubt it is that which we reffer to as 'baghead'
