At least the guy in the chair seems to think he's looking out for the viewers.

This: he makes it pretty clear he worries about people getting too deep into Andersen's videos and thinking there's something real.

If you think about it, tipping off the viewers would also make sense as a way to protect Andersen; maybe they're worried that if Andersen gets too involved with people who take the Slendy thing too seriously, it'll harm his already fragile mental balance even further?

When you've got a friend who has really severe mental issues it's incredibly difficult to feel out what's the best way to handle sensitive subjects with them. They do, like you say, know the guy better than we do. Perhaps when they've tried to raise issues like this with him before he's blown up at them, or gone into a severe depression, or whatever - they certainly think that's going to happen in this case.

It's tough love, and from our POV it certainly looks incredibly dickish. But as you say, Mira, we don't really know these guys that well and we absolutely don't know anything about how they and Andersen interact with each other and their history. In particular, we've not seen them and Andersen together at all, so we don't know how he behaves around them or how he'd react to them contradicting him.

So where are these guys? In Anderson's house?

Who are the guys in this photo? All three of them together?

I think they might be in the person in the chairs house. The left picture looks like him and that would make sense. Not sure what the relationship is with these guys and Andersen is yet, but I bet we will find out.

How long do you think it will take for him to find out that they posted this video on his channel? If the doctor is real, wouldn't he tip him off?

I think they are in Andersen's house and fiddling about with his camera - that'd explain why they're wondering why he got such a plush camera at the start of the video, and it'd explain why they were able to upload the video to his channel - Andersen got sloppy and didn't log out of YouTube.

If they were trying to help him, they looked up 'how to help a mentally ill friend' and did the opposite of everything it said.

If they were worried about the viewers and were worried about their friend - why didn't they make a different video and say something like "Look, he's got issues, and we can't see anything in these videos. Take anything he says with a grain of salt."? Posting a video basically saying he's duping people is... not going to be helpful for someone who probably has depression. I had teachers in school say I was 'telling stories' when I said I was having food thrown at me in the lunch room - it got cleared up eventually, but it did nnnot help any.

Possibly veering into "THAT'S NOT FUNNY MY BROTHER DIED THAT WAY" territory, but, well, personal experience - I have a friend that has hallucinations, but he generally knows when he's hallucinating. I think Micheal could have problems telling - after all, he asked the viewers if anybody else could see this, right? He sounded like he was scared - maybe not of Slender Man, but of his own mind. If that thing wasn't just standing there, then he could be having a relapse.

Sudden idea - what if one of the douches is his brother? That would explain why he wasn't as afraid to post this and lose his friend. Also why he'd be more willing to badmouth him...

You know, I was thinking that this morning when I watched the video. I think it makes rather a lot more sense to believe one of them - my money would be on the one not holding the camera - being the brother.

I definitely agree that this is not how they should have handled things. (also, I wonder if the video really will get taken down in the future?)

And him being Andersen's brother would definitely shed some light on his behavior -- he seems a little resentful, and I think siblings can definitely feel less inclined to tread lightly around each other in delicate situations. Then again, it may just be a long-time friend who is at his breaking point -- because again, we haven't seen what Andersen has been like in the past.

I almost find it more concerning that they can't see him when we all clearly can (mother of god, it's the EMH hidden videos all over again -- somebody ready a flashdrive). First time through I thought the guy holding the camera could, because I thought he kept saying "so, you don't see...?" at one point, but I think now that he was attempting to say "you don't say it to his face".

Now, I'm probably wrong, but the way they were describing it (at least not-camera-guy) it kind of seemed like they were in denial. Like, they did see it, but they didn't want to see it.

I need to go back and watch the video again.

Looking at my post, I really hope I didn't come off as too aggressive. >_< I apologize if I did.

I have to hang tight to my theory of him being his brother. In the last video, he said that he was going to his brother's house for a while. Plus he had his camera with him, so he probably packed that with his stuff.

Oh god, if it turns out to be the hidden videos again, I'm going buy flashdrives in bulk.

However, I kinda wonder what videos *they* saw, if they didn't see the ones we did... they obviously saw something.

This is definitely heading in a new direction for Slender Vlogs. The plot just keeps getting thicker. Definitely the most unreliable narrator in any of the major series. Great acting, too. This series is really looking to be something awesome as it ramps up.

It looks like after the video stutter, Slenderman disappears.

My theory: Our boy is somehow manifesting Slenderman as a psychic projection, and killed his brother that way.

You saw Slender Man in this video? Where?
