The Phantom Dog from the NotDead blog. Kind of fail in that it's described in a way that leads me to believe it's probably a lot more dog like, but this I like because I enjoy making monsters.

Inspired by your phantom dog photograph, I decided to do a quick sketch of the Rake. The EMH Rake, to be specific.

[Amazing picture]

That, in all its greatness, will give me nightmares.

That is awesome, and it's damned close to how I've always imagined the Rake to look from the original creepy pasta.

Oh great, now I'm going to be so disappointed if the Rake in EMH doesn't have a mouth that damn freaky.

@TheNightMareComplex: Ooh god. Th-that mouth.

@iomiomai: Haha, thank you. I have to admit, their 'Dog' has always reminded me of the Rake. Probably why I drew it so... uh, un-dog-like.

Yeah, but overall the size and shape is quite terrifying. Those teeth could do some damage...

Actually, I'm wondering if you would mind me painting that. I likes painting the monsters.

Version 2.0

I fixed the cheekbones and tentacles and added some Operator symbols for taste.

I tried to fix the top font (I kept the bottom from the original logo) but I think I may have only made it worse. Honestly, if I don't fix in on my third try I may just end up hand-drawing them.

Also, here's the link to the 50% sized version, if anyone wants to get a look at the little details.

Okay, this looks good so far. The Top font: I'm thinking that you're typing the words and then arching them with a tool in Photoshop or a similar program. What you should be doing is typing each character and placing them on a path/invisible curve you draw. This will stop the stretching and warping that is currently happening.

ALSO, I'll be on that this weekend, TheNightmareComplex.

Thanks, and to be honest that was my first idea. I'm using Element 6.0 and it doesn't support text paths. If it did, I wouldn't been having this trouble. I think I may just take the PSD and get onto one of the computers at the school (the ones that have CS4) and do it there. Unfortunately that means I'll have to wait until Tuesday.

Thanks again for the advice. I'll fix it Tuesday if I can, or do it manually beforehand. It just depends on how impatient I am.

My Painted version of TheNightmareComplex's 'The Rake' from EMH. I tried to stick to the original sketch, though a few tweaks were made. And I didn't know what was up with the eye, so I just kind of... uh... left it out.
