When I first saw it, I immediately thought of how they made Cherry Darling's "limp" in Planet Terror. Basically, you just wrap a piece of something hard and straight around someone's leg so they can't bend their knee. Seems perfectly in the budget for a bunch of college students, so I'm sticking with the "Alex went for the face, but hit Tim's knee" camp.

Better example= House. Think House.

Entry 34 was the start of the flashback tapes. J even says it's late April, two says after Entry 26 when he's talking to the camera. Entry 35 takes place, I would say, between a day and a week after Entry 34.

I disagree completely, I think the two entries took place at least a month between each other, and Jay just re-recorded over an already used tape (which explains the jump cut to driving like what took up the majority of the previous video).

I kinda think something went weird with the tape and it didn't record him turning it back on. And I think he came back a few days in a row, thus the frustration. I don't think someone like J could hold up that much stress for at least a month.

 		Alex tells Jay to turn off the camera. FOr what? I doubt it's because he's aiming to kill Tim.
Alex knows cameras are connected to Senior Slendy, and Alex was trying to make sure it was off.
I believe the scream was Jay being a little too late..

Also, I love that no one cares what happened to Alex's woman

The scream comes a little too soon after J's "What are you doing?" to be J screaming. Plus the pitch of that line goes down a bit, rather than up to the level that the scream is at.

I mentioned her in my speculation. I think that Alex probably shipped her off to her parents and told her not to use a video camera anymore.

I've read all of Entry 35's posts and most of Entry 34's posts, but not as far as I know.

 		personally i think they didn't arrive there together...or maybe i should say, i think that jay was talking to himself. but this is my question:

when has jay ever talked to himself on tape before??

i guess there's a first for everything. and i could be forgetting something. (and i'm excluding when he is talking to the viewer, i know he does that once or twice)

 		also; doesn't masky's presence seem odd in the first place? either he knowingly went into a situation where he would be outnumbered (which he hasn't done before) or he didn't know that either alex or jay would be there, and that it would be just one of them alone.

edit:
more stream of consciousness, but didn't wanna triple post...

what is with the releasing of the entries? they seem to have lost any frame of reference. it doesn't make sense that we are guessing if jay and alex were there together of if alex surprised jay. these are the kinda things that used to be explained to us.

if this lack of information is plot related, as it seems to be, we can probably assume there is something wrong with jay. i mean, we don't even know where he is now, assuming he even left the motel at all. he's basically disconnected from his world.

Most likely the latter. Or maybe he expected one of them and not both?

Entry 34 has him talking to the camera and then he realises that he's doing it. It also continues on from Entry 26 where he talks to the viewer.

Following that 26 and 34 are set 2 days apart, I'm seeing him starting to open up and start treating the camera/viewers as companions (even if in 34 he never intended to be talking to viewers again) and then having the 7 month amnesia just shutting him down again.

I think I agree with 8BitFilk in that we should stop now. I will state as a finality that I don't think they met before this. Searching for my posts will point to plenty of evidence if you are interested in my point of view. My posts are properly started around page 29 or so.

EDIT - redherring: I think I brought a few unique points to the table that weren't mentioned. *nod nod*
